Excellent updates from TRIN and TXP the past few days, they certainly dont need Range.

John I agree range are in desperate straits and even a 50% rise will not help much.
I think their licence is worthless as is shown by their accumulated losses over the past 8 years....

I would keep an eye on Petrotrin's new identity too, Heritage oil, they will be very keen to make this work and all of Trinidad will be watching. I have also read that the Oilworkers union are talking about possibly leasing the refinery.

60% up by 0950. Good idea Celtic. A merger with Trinity or CERP would make sense.

But answer might lie in borrowing and debt repayments. China has had a bad 2018 by their standards, but they still have 6% growth and out-performing UK and most other countries. And they desperately need oil from Trinidad to keep firing, at a time when USA threatens their economy.

What is interesting is that Range have not issued a statement to say they know of no reason for the rise. News has to break soon I would have thought.
