Mroalan - how about remembering that in 2006, Hamas was voted into power by the 'Palestinians' whose main plamk remains the destruction of Israel. You could say that they've brought it on themselves, but let's not theorise too much and let's completely forget about the 7 October attrocities.

Hamas deliberately place themselves in schools, hospitals, mosques etc. so that if they get bombed to hell what's the death of a lot of women (who are strictly 2nd class citizens anyway) and children ( mostly the result of breeding machines (females) to procreate, ordered by men. The men will say they are martyrs for the cause (fartyrs if you prefer) who will see a better afterlife. There is of course also the side benefit of getting onside of the liberal crybabies every time there's a tragedy.

I feel sdorry for the 40% of 'Palestinians' who didn't vote for Hamas but the world doesn't work that way.

Don't believe evrything you read in the press about an area that is of little concern to us. I am far more concerned about the Ukraine/Russia dispute which really is of interest to us.It's only the feeble Western liberals who today have the luxury of pontificating to their hearts' content. They can cry crocodile tears for as long as they like, or more likely until reality comes home to roost and then they realise which side their bread's buttered on.

Migrants stranded for years on the remote Indian Ocean island of Diego Garcia will be offered the right to come to the UK, under a government proposal.

Around 60 Sri Lankan Tamils have spent more than three years in a makeshift camp on the island, which hosts a secretive UK-US military base, after becoming the first people ever to file asylum claims there.

The government has previously opposed bringing the group to the UK and complex legal battles have been fought for years over their fate.

In a letter on Monday, government lawyers said that “following further consideration”, the government had proposed a “change of policy”.

Under this, “all families, children and those of the unaccompanied males who do not have criminal convictions, outstanding charges or investigations would be offered the opportunity to be transferred directly to the UK”.

It added that work on the offer was “ongoing” and a formal decision would be made within 48 hours. “Details will be provided as soon as possible,” it said.
