Perhaps that's for you to decide as we might be biased. 8-)

Any views on what's the best buy just now? RFX or HAT? I hold neither just now but have cash to invest.

Yes the problem with FX ought to be reversed if travel happens again.

FX aside - and that should pick as travel restarts - earnings and B/S look robust, particularly with gold prices where they are, with upside risk IMHO. Buying more at this level but may have to be patient. DYOR GLA

Foreign currency exchange was expected and therefore likely already in the price.

IMO

Exactly LE4R.
Agree outlook is important.
Their jewellery revenue doubled year on year .
I think they are good at diversifying and anticipation of future trends as much as is possiible in this climate.
Cash strong.

Surely it's all about the look forward though. Clear as day it was going to be a terrible result for FX for the period, but I'm personally v encouraged by the doubling of online jewellery sales as we've move back towards opening up and, hopefully, some form of foreign travel from H2 onwards

I agree, small loss for year, not sure shares will be supported at these levels by that update IMO DYOR

A trading update very light on detail. What was the point of releasing it.

Volumes pretty modest but illiquidity works both ways, does tend to move quickly when there is a little buying pressure.

Well as HAT has been brought up and they are in the same sector Investor's champion has this to say about pawnbrokers.

Investor's Champion comments:

HAT remains in a very robust financial position, even too robust as it would like to redeploy its cash into suitable lending opportunities.

The reduction in lending resulted in a £29.6m increase in operating cash flow to £55.4m with net cash at the period end of £34.5m and its £35.0m revolving credit facility undrawn.

It remains to be seen how the pawnbroking sector will evolve post pandemic but it has withstood several pandemics over the last 900 odd years so the signs are good.

Sadly the market reaction to H&T results has turned negative with a steep fall after an initial uplift in the share price.

Certainly the reaction to their results bodes well here in my opinion.
Same sector.

We should get a TU in the next fortnight or so My only slight worry is that if foreign holidays get pushed back further. Longer term I can see 4-5 Gbp per share. A nice buy and hold this one
