16/3/2015 13:36 | stockmarket wire 13.35 p.m Quindell Plc (AIM: QPP.L) is pleased to announce an update on the Company's subsidiary Quindell Scaffolding. On 27 February 2015, the Board informed the market that it was seeking to dispose of several businesses and assets that are non-core. Today, we can confirm that due to recent exceptional performance Quindell Scaffolding will remain part of the core business. Since the start of this year, the Company's shares have risen from 40p to c. 120p, increasing the market value of the Company from £175m to £530m. While our PR associate has delivered much of this increase in value, our staff at Quindell Scaffolding have done sterling work in continuing to support the share price when our RNS releases and the efforts of our PR machine have been undermined by counter-statements from Slater & Gordon. We are pleased to announce that Quindell Scaffolding has today taken on additional staff in order to further support the share price should Slater & Gordon again undermine the RNS we released this morning. David Currie, interim non-Executive Chairman, said: "We are delighted with the performance of Quindell Scaffolding in contributing to the £355m increase in the value of Quindell Plc since the start of the year. We attribute 50% of this performance to Quindell Scaffolding, and expect to book a £177m increase in the value of the subsidiary on our balance sheet date in accordance with QFRS (Quindell Financial Reporting Standards) no. 2+2=5." | henchard
16/3/2015 13:36 | FT alphaville mention funding question:- PM Quindell BE QPP statement! PM EmoticonEmoticon BE “A number of deal structures discussed” BE Including the one in the Sunday Times over the weekend. PM Actually PM Hold on! PM This statement says nothing BE I’ll let the reader judge that. BE Quindell Plc (AIM: QPP.L) notes the Sunday Times article dated 15 March 2015 and confirms that it remains in discussion with Slater & Gordon Limited (“SGH”) regarding the possible disposal of the professional services division (“PSD”) of the Group. Quindell confirms that a number of deal structures have been discussed with SGH including one with an up front value of £640 million and a share of receipts from settlement of Noise Induced Hearing Loss cases. However, there can be no certainty that these discussions will lead to any offer, or the disposal of, the PSD. Further announcements will be made, as appropriate, in due course. PM Sorry, i stand corrected! PM £640 million and a share of receipts from settlement of Noise Induced Hearing Loss cases. BE Are among the options discussed ……… BE We can go into semantics here — I see Taxloss is already doing so, in fact — though I’m tempted to take the stance adopted at the end of last week. BE As in: there are too many people on both sides of this story who claim to have the inside track BE I, personally, don’t trust a lot of what I’m told here by people claiming to be very well informed and on that basis along would see the stock as uninvestable. But your risk tolerances may be different to mine, ROTR. PM The market in QP is strangely stable in the wake of this PM Tradingat 130p currently Quindell PLC (QPP:LSE): Last: 126.13, up 26.63 (+26.76%), High: 129.75, Low: 112.00, Volume: 22.28m BE Yup, shares up 30%, 130p in the middle. That’s, what, a quid above where Terry exited? BE I’d expect S&G to need to respond at some point, given the amounts talked about would require a massive rights issue from them ….. BE … but as it’s 10:29pm in Oz, we may have to wait until the morning. PM that remains the central mystery PM How does S&G finance this? PM Strange lack of people with the inside track on that PM taxloss – hxxp://www.investe 11:31AM PM Phew PM Almost minded to go to Afren PM While the blood pressure is high PM What’s the shareholder overlap? Afren/QPP PM There’s certainly a noise overlap PM Squeals of excitement vs squeals of pain | dasv

"Quindell (QPP) was up 25.26% to 124.63p after Business Secretary Vince Cable and Treasury Select Committee chairman Andrew Tyrie wrote to the Financial Conduct Authority for information on the company's share price collapse last April. Quindell's shares plunged after a US short seller posted allegations about the business online" | giveatoss
