Rog,

Yes, and TW has just sold out of Open orphan as well I believe, after buying it at much lower prices earlier this year.

he's obsessed with Open Orphan
wasn't that a Matt Earl stock that he says he's sold out of?
Boohoo didn't work out well for Earl! (mate of T.W.)

Luke,

They're at the top of the thread, even you should be able to understand them.

This is the PURP thread, next strike and you're out, fair enough?

My friends had a great selling experience with them about 2 or 3 years ago.

Andy,

So my experience was the total opposite of that.

My sales agent was available at anytime. Managed to get hold of him instantly, bar one call that went to voicemail.

Even during the time he was furloughed, there was communication with his manager

The Conveyancing team was the best I’ve experienced in all my property transactions

Their online portal was brilliant! They always returned calls, although took a few hours longer during the lockdown AND they sold my property during this period too by being engaged with the buyer throughout!

I’ve got nothing but positives to say about the whole experience and will 100% be using them again

I think they’ve started an auction setup for purchasing too, so I’ll keep a look out there as well

I’m sure there are other good and bad experiences - but in the end, from my perspective, I sold at more than what I expected, paid £000’s less in fees and had it complete in lockdown (as the property was empty)

This is why I’ve bought shares at this price

These guys might be the only online players left and they are well set up for it

Dennis,

My friend eventually sold through PB, but his experience was awful, and the service was extremely poor.

His "LPE" was hard to get hold of, and their solicitor didn't return phone calls. In that environment, how do you think a sale will go if gazundering becomes the norm again, and they have to negotiate to spread the pain down along the chain?

Who would you expect to be able to resolve the matter, your local "LPE" who you struggle to get hold of, (because his focus is on more sales and commission, not service), or the guy down the High St. with 30 years experience where you can walk in and talk directly to him at will?

PURP might be cheaper, but at what cost?

I somehow get the feeling that whatever fundamental, concrete, bearish facts I post about this company almost always gets brushed aside for some speculative nonsense.

Surely the price reflects the issues they may have. What I would say is that they are well set up for remote working as that’s generally their modus operandi.

A lot of their “staff” are self employed - which I know as I’ve used them to sell a property

They didn’t seem worried about the environment as they can see that things have to open as the housing market is a big part of the economy.

I feel more and more people will use them as they are cheaper than a traditional estate agency. If you are able to handle viewings and promote your own property, then this is a great way of selling with lower costs

I would say that if you’re unable to handle viewings, then they won’t be able to promote your property well, they’ll just open and close the door before and after the viewing

Agreed Andy.

Results FY2020 due 08/07/2020. I don't expect them to be anything else but dire. Within everything they have had to face in this year it's not hard to work out. Brexit uncertainty, general election, covid.... Their revenue can't be as good as the previous year, which means they aren't going to buck the trend and turn a big profit all of a sudden. Another heart-breaking period for shareholders as they go yet another year without receiving a dividend. I wonder what the cash balance will have dwindled down to by then?
