12/12/2007 15:41 | Missed the header: PuriCore Adds Five New Supermarket Chains More than 20 US Retail Chains Now Use Sterilox Food Safety Systems | bigfishy
12/12/2007 15:40 | Spotted this on Business Wire, dated today, but did not see it on Puricore's website?: MALVERN, Pa. & STAFFORD, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PuriCore (LSE: PURI), the life sciences company focused on the development and commercialization of its novel, safe antimicrobial technology, today announces new agreements with five leading US regional food retailers. These supermarket chains have begun to introduce PuriCore's Sterilox Food Safety Systems in recent months. Additionally, PuriCore's largest customer, a top-three US retailer, continues to expand its implementation of Sterilox Food Safety Systems for its new and remodelled stores. To date, more than 20 top US supermarket chains use the safe and natural Sterilox Food Safety Solution to protect against cross contamination of infectious pathogens and enhance the freshness of their produce. PuriCore remains on track to install 150 to 200 new Sterilox Food Safety Systems in 2007, bringing the total network to more than 1,600 systems. "We continue to gain traction with US grocers that recognize the value of brand protection and improved economics by integrating our Sterilox Systems as a vital component of their food safety and quality programs," said Greg Bosch, Chief Executive of PuriCore. "Recent wins include Big Y, a leading regional retailer in the northeast US. Our combined current customer network now represents a total of approximately 4,500 stores, and we also have evaluations underway with other chains representing a further 4,400 stores. We remain confident that one or more major supermarket chains will commit to Sterilox in the near future." "A major difference with regard to the on-shelf appearance and shelf-life of our product, plus enhanced food safety, makes this a homerun," said Brian Gannon, Big Y Director of Produce. "By using the Sterilox Food Safety System throughout our network, we enhance our food safety program and ensure that we are offering the freshest produce available to our customers." | bigfishy
12/12/2007 09:04 | Someone is buying up chunks of 5,000 at a time. Been 7x5k trades so far.. | wookie77
12/12/2007 08:57 | Looks like a slide back. | boischastel
12/12/2007 08:38 | Good news, but rather late to be doing Sterilox stuff, having done ZERO with it for years! | boischastel
12/12/2007 08:14 | Funny how they wait for a day where the Dow drops 300pts to release this news! Call me sceptical but maybe its to give the directors a better chance of topping up! LOL | wookie77
12/12/2007 08:10 | now one small trade - think I'll leave buying for now given the drop on th dow | grosvenor
12/12/2007 08:03 | no trades today as yet.... see the market makers have increased the offer a bit | grosvenor
12/12/2007 07:46 | Well on this news I'll be buying more at these levels. Not long now before we retake listing price imo...this news shows the puri system and business strategy is working. this should be rerated at a pound and anything less woild represent 'value' to me. Also sounds like they could be hitting profit a lot sooner than expected and more deals on the way! | wookie77
12/12/2007 07:10 | is this news gonna move the sp? | canford cliffs
10/12/2007 12:46 | depends on the terms. But either way a tie in with a major supermarket will turn this company into a wholly different animal...it would also lead to plausible speculation of other similar deals in the pipeline. | wookie77
10/12/2007 10:59 | Well I was always of the opinion that it would send it to 200p but that was when share price was 66p! A more realistic guess would be 100p. | samdayeh2
10/12/2007 09:24 | Could well be......would be nice to get news on that this week...anyone make any guesses on where the share price would head on announcement such a deal? | wookie77
10/12/2007 07:18 | Yet another patent..........is this what Safeway are waiting for? | canford cliffs
06/12/2007 14:55 | Thats it Sam! we'll jump together!! | mattaltass
06/12/2007 14:54 | apparantly not today.... | wookie77
06/12/2007 12:01 | Yep....0.25%.. | wookie77
06/12/2007 11:09 | FTSE flying....looks like a rate cut... | wookie77
06/12/2007 10:03 | Fair point,as it seems the sells have been in the morning and buys later. | boischastel
06/12/2007 09:53 | Dropped it 2p on only a tiny amount of volume 10,000 to be precise. Looks more like a shake....would expect us to bounce back soon enough. I wonder if we'll see buying pressure coupled with a spike at around 2/2.30pm as we have seen in the last two days........hope so! | wookie77
06/12/2007 08:39 | Not you at all Wooks. Haven't got the statement yet, but just told the guy at best in the market, when it was showing that level............so maybe only got 46.something. | boischastel
06/12/2007 08:26 | Bois, maybe that's directed at me. No amount of ramping can add over 50 percent to a companies mcap! I'd be wary trading these at the month. You've seen how quickly it can spike. What price did you top slice at? I didn't see any trades at 47p? | wookie77
06/12/2007 05:59 | I am still struggling to find out if there is REALLY something expected or in the offing, or is just complete ramp on one or two people's part. No clues from my friend, so I will not buy at these levels. Topsliced a few last night at 47p before the drop. Suspect we may see sub 40p again today unless some news. | boischastel |
