Am I right in thinking as PRTC is a pharma company most people will have read the Sunday Times article on a tablet?

"...........Puretech surged after announcing a group in which it owns a 46 per cent stake, Sonde Health, is launching an app to help people go back to work during the pandemic.

It will give them instant guidance on whether they are well enough through an analysis of the user’s voice, a Covid questionnaire and a body temperature reading.

A voice sample picks up respiratory symptoms which, combined with the other information, could flag up if someone is sick.
Sonde’s technology is already being developed to recognise if someone has depression......(hxxps://www.sondehealth.com/.. ) Puretech climbed 8.3 per cent, or 22p, to 288p."

The real news is yet to come - listing of Akili and Gelesis will crystallise the most value for PureTech health. I have been a holder since 2017, and have only added to my position. The story has not changed it’s only gotten better, and Daphne has proven to be a innovative and stable leader.

I sold out today at 289p.

Good luck to all holders.

My radar went off when Daphne took cash instead of shares.

Great potential, but if.....

My mind has been blown away with the potential for the sonde announcement- alongside the ubiquitous use of smart phones - it could really make track and trace work! Perhaps a bud from Apple might be on the cards...

We did hold 48pc of VOR and now thats down to 12pc following this funding.

We didn't invest.

The new investment of $110m bought 75pc of the company. Our 12pc sits at about $17m but now VOR is funded well down the road.

Interesting point Justine I would also add that the UK probably more focuses on dividend returns as I don't believe the brain power and intelligence is there by a lot of our bods to grow a business like they do and can in America, a lot of the bods of UK firms are more interested in management share perks etc. Plus another problem here is on the rare occasion we have a smart person who manages to get growth out of a company a outsider soon comes and buys the company out

Volvo, I don’t think any form of dividend would be wise. This company is focussed on growth. Distributing capital to fickle share holders will only undermine the business model of reinvesting profits in founding new entities and investing in early stage startups. There is a reason the largest companies are found in the US - they retain profits and invest in growth. The UK market is too dividend happy, and value is eroded at the expense of keeping short-term share holders happy. Let’s trust Daphne to allocate the capital wisely, and the share price will follow. Till then stay patient, lots of upside potential possibly to come.
