Just checked my TD Direct account and the 8p distribution hasn't landed in it yet.

A further distribution of 8p has been made.
They cannot liquidate until tax clearance has been agreed and funds held in escrow have been released.
Expect further distributions as and when they have cleared funds.

I'm confused. Has a further 8p distribution been made? If so is this ahead of a final distribution? Appreciate any views here.

Part of the sale proceeds are held in escrow until the end of august, so liquidation is unlikely to be before October.

I asked the liquidator several weeks ago when the final distribution might be made, as no date was set in the December 2015 circular. His response was "within 12 months". They can't determine when and how much it will be because much depends on HMRC agreeing the tax computations and there's no point in even trying to get HMRC to say how long they will take. They could be to-ing and fro-ing for months. I'm sure it will arrive in due course but I wouldn't commit any expenditure in expectation of it arriving anytime soon.

I have now received another 8p per share in my HL account. Secure message says "As and when further distributions are made they will be credited to your account upon receipt." I tried to have a look on the website:

www.purewafer.com

but it no longer seems to be there.

A second liquidation payment of 8p/share has been credited to my account today.

Neither of my nominee brokers informed me.

Not entirely surprising as it is just narrowing down the date window.

I have been emailed a letter which was sent to all shareholders by the liquidator on Feb 24th. My shares were held in a nominee account with TD Direct Investing, who have not yet notified me of it. The letter states that they envisage making the second distribution by 4th March but "cannot confirm the quantum with any certainty at this time". It goes on to explain that they expect to receive the company's tax computations for the period up to the day the company entered liquidation this week and once received will need to review and discuss them with the firm who prepared them and with the directors before the second distribution can be released. Which seems perfectly reasonable to me. Pity TDDI have failed to pass this on promptly (assuming they did receive it).

I emailed the liquidator this morning but haven't had a reply. Have you had contact with them directly, or are you just guessing/hoping?

I believe the liquidator is hoping to make the second distribution before the end of this week. Could not get any idea of the amount though.

The next payout is due around 24th February according to the liquidation circular. The final residue won't be know (amount or date) until HMRC claim has been finalised. Wonder if we could get that guy who settled the Google claim to do Pure Wafer's?

Feb 24 was mooted for next return. No guarantees as I expect loose ends have to be sorted.

The stock market fall has thrown up an unhoped dividend from PUR (though not completely unexpected). Having a load of cash locked up pre-distribution saved me from a 10+% fall in the price of whatever I would have bought. I have never had such a large proportion of my portfolio held as cash.

Doubtless I will choose the wrong time to buy though.

Barclays always take a few days longer than other brokers for such payments. They're a bank and must find it particularly difficult providing cash for their clients!!
