19/7/2014 09:17 | Yes - it has been a long wait ! | hutch_pod
16/7/2014 21:36 | Good to hear Hutch_pod. Trading on a PE of 7.1x Jun-14 now and 6.5x Jun-15.....crazy!!! Lets hope there's nothing negative in the update and we can get back towards £1 quickly. PUR's share price historically has moved quickly in bother directions | adamb1978
15/7/2014 18:30 | Been following this venture since before Wales, when they were considering / bidding on the Fujitsu plant in Sunderland. It's been a long road, thankfully didn't buy-in in those early days. I still believe the business model is sound, Pure seem to have got their operations under control and with capacity expansion, debt and significant depreciation now behind them, they should be able to demonstrate strong earnings capability and hopefully a dividend. | mrtoad2
15/7/2014 16:40 | Ah, PUR kindly confirmed to me that they will indeed be releasing a trading statement at the end of July. | hutch_pod
15/7/2014 11:06 | Yes I am quietly optimistic of both an update and its quality. | hutch_pod
15/7/2014 08:46 | Trading update ... Are we expecting a trading update 30 July? Hopefully continuing trading at levels from last trading update, news on progress of 40% capacity increase at both plants! And some of that capacity sold, so revenue up and continued progress on productivity. Results should look very solid with the reduced debt and depreciation calculated in. It's been very quiet here for months! | mrtoad2
24/6/2014 21:19 | Some nice buys today. Of course it hasn't lifted the price. That would be silly | hutch_pod
12/6/2014 21:47 | Good old moneyweek. Got me thinking of Japanese small caps now.. | hutch_pod
12/6/2014 18:14 | Not me, BoJ....blame them if it doesn't work out:) | paleje
12/6/2014 11:31 | Now you're tempting me to top up! :) | hutch_pod
12/6/2014 11:00 | Another positive view re the currency issue; Moneyweek have an article today suggesting the yen may have seen its low point. ...As Jonathan Allum of SMBC Nikko notes, those who were fretting that the BoJ isn't doing enough are now gradually throwing in the towel. They've started to look at the economic data, and accepted that even more QE simply isn't justified. And if the economy is actually getting better, well then Japanese stocks are worth buying..... | paleje
10/6/2014 12:52 | Yes. If the currency risk stays under control, I have the sense/hope that PUR will do really quite well this year from a revenue/profits perspective. | hutch_pod
05/6/2014 22:44 | An interesting clip on the wafer reclaim process from one of our US competitors. The competition to PUR is surely strengthening, partic (Samsung to Reduce Chip Production in US March 26, 2014 Samsung is reportedly to cut processor chip production in its Texas fab, which hires some 5,500 employees and creates around US$1.5 billion in annual revenue, as the facility's major customer Apple is shifting orders to Taiwanese manufacturer TSMC, reported the Korea Times on March 25. Samsung's investment to the plant, which saw the utilization rate declined to under 70% in February, is expected to fell below 1 trillion won (US$1=1075 won; US$930 million) this year. Samsung has invested a total of $13 billion in the plant since 1996-its largest foreign investment to date.) This is unfortunately a persistent industry feature in the wafer reclaim cycle. puffintickler. Possibly the recent fall in the share price was managed in order to facilitate today's very substantial 300,000 share transaction. If so,then a swift upturn might be on the cards. | mudbath
05/6/2014 07:25 | Yes, this has happened before with PUR, it gets to a good valuation so traders sell out prompting a drift down which continues until the next results. There has been no news to prompt such a large fall. | puffintickler
04/6/2014 19:11 | Good news on the appeal. The share price seems to have drifted way below my expectations, and is surely now at/near support eg 200 week EMA just below 60, or perhaps can snap back above the 50 week EMA at around 70. Seems to suffer from general declining interest but now the ratios look even more attractive at forward PE of circa 7 for example. Well that's what I tell myself to keep the faith! | hutch_pod
02/6/2014 21:26 | Sounds spot on. Public sector bodies in my experience are invariably quick to blame and very, very, very slow to accept responsibility, if ever. | alan@bj
02/6/2014 20:43 | I emailed the company about this, they responded with a detailed account of the matter up to the court ruling in April and now the council's intention to appeal. I won't paste the reply even though there's nothing sensitive in it but they don't think there are grounds for the council to get the April (favourable) decision overturned. To me it sounds like a council under financial pressure happy enough to waste taxpayers money trying to avoid their obligations instead of sorting out the best way to comply. It's a pity because it sours relationships but anyway that's where we are. | paleje
02/6/2014 16:53 | Thanks Palaje, much appreciated. | alan@bj
02/6/2014 15:19 | Not much, there was a small mention at a council meeting in May where it seemed the council sought authorization to file an appeal but that's all the detail it gave. Doesn't sound like the fat lady's singing yet, not in tune anyway. | paleje
02/6/2014 13:58 | Anyone heard any news about the City of Prescott court case? | alan@bj
01/5/2014 09:31 | Positive news on both fronts. Also good for near-term that the Fed is sticking to its view that it will keep US benchmark interest rate near zero for a "considerable time" after bond purchases end. | hutch_pod
30/4/2014 22:15 | Upwards trajectory from here it seems. | blondeamon
30/4/2014 17:43 | Ahh. Any new news in his tip? | hutch_pod |
