21/1/2014 13:32 | And of course there's always the possibilty of consolidation in the sector! WC | woodcutter
21/1/2014 13:23 | The pricing pressure is key and although they may meet forecasts for this year next year will be more challenging. Nevertheless the expansion of facilities suggests that there's room for growth so i've retained my small holding and may well top up when we see the bottom. IQE statement today reinforces the demand. If the pricing pressure was coming from efficiencies in industrial competitors or a shrinking market then i'd be more concerned but exchange rates fluctuate all the time so whilst it might be a short term issue in the longer run it should provide an opportunity to add. You don't expand your production facilities by 40% if your end customer market is shrinking, there's clearly insufficient capacity globally and we're only going to see increased requirement for wafers. Unless of course some other technology appears which is better. And they'll get economies of scale with the expansion. aimho Woody post note: sympathy for those who bought this morning at 101p. And in particular the person who purchased just over 6K three minutes after the announcement. Have to admit had i seen the rns earlier i may have sold and moved to buy back later, for a small profit. Will monitor now over the coming days, it still looks undervalued against it's peers imv. | woodcutter
21/1/2014 12:30 | Not great, though profability on course. Still only on a PE on 10.9x for Jun-14 and with all that capacity to come on stream. The Fy15 forecasts look light given that they only include £1m turnover uplift from that extra capacity With the strengthened balance sheet, they should be able to withstand a 5% turnover drop | adamb1978

24/12/2013 12:46 | mudbath True, shareholdings will be out of date almost as soon as they are updated! It was the number of shares being a factor of ten out that prompted my desire for a revision. | puffintickler
24/12/2013 11:47 | puffintickler. The movement in the RBS warrants render % holdings rather a shifting quicksand. Even the Pure Wafer site seems at odds with itself on the subject. I have amended the data with a view to perfecting matter come the prelims. | mudbath
24/12/2013 10:53 | I have bought back my recent top slice, I expect a steady rise over 2014. By the way Mudbath, the significant shareholdings bit of the header could do with a bit of attention! Season's greetings to all. | puffintickler |
