14/2/2007 13:38 | androyd, If you read the Bradford & Bingley results you will know the housing market is still strong. As such the turnover and cash generation at PGS must also be strong. This will also have been helped by the takeover of additional licence areas. In my opinion this is going to put trading ahead of consensus estimates and will probably mean a bullish trading update before then. | fido
14/2/2007 13:04 | I hope there will be a trading statement before then, a positive one! | androyd
14/2/2007 09:23 | Balloo, Last year they were on the 28th June. Regards. | fido
14/2/2007 09:02 | Anyone know when next results due? I couldn't see anything on the PSG site. | balloo
09/2/2007 09:08 | Thanks, that's very helpful. However it is not clear if Avatar is really making mnore than a nominal profit, or is likely to. Also, what percentage of Avatar does PGS hold and what profits, if any, were attributable to PGS during the last 2 financial years? It would also be useful to know what value PGS put on the shares during the last 2 financial years Dec. 04/Dec.05 (together with the then applicable US$/£ exchange rate)and compare it to the likely value it will put on the Dec. 06 figures. | truffle
08/2/2007 23:17 | Just out of interest, if anyone wants to know how PGS`s Avartar investment in America is doing they should look at the following link. In short they are doing exceptioally well. | fido
08/2/2007 12:54 | This stock is now seeing steady but sizeable buys going through as and when the stock becomes available. We have already seen Mr Mortons Southwind vehicle upping its stake closely followed by institutional buying. Anyone reading my last post will know why this buying is going on. | fido
07/2/2007 09:49 | There is speculation that PGS may have offloaded their remaining holding in TOMCO as a similar amount to PGS's remaining shares were traded yesterday, also good to see we're on the way up again, i think we'll break through recent highs this time. | androyd
06/2/2007 13:23 | 50,000 purchase at mid price, i wonder if that was a transaction from within? | androyd
06/2/2007 12:11 | androyd, I get the feeling that people do not understand what will power the growth of PGS over the coming months. Profits for this company will not just grow, they will power ahead and I will explain why. Growth in the normal sence will come from the ever increasing number of transactions both in the housing sector and that of the comercial sector. Growth will also come from the increasingly outsourced back office functions of companies up and down the country. There was a survey a couple of months ago about what buyers thought was the most important aspect of the home buying process. The answer was speed and price and the companies that offered that were getting more business. There is no better way for these companies to become more compeditive than to outsource the work to a specialist like PGS and that is what is happening. Growth will also come from the increasing diversity of services that are put through the PGS channels. So far I have only spoke of growth but I said that profits will power ahead, so why do I say that. What we have in PGS is a franchise business and that allowed the company to spread right across the country very quickly. PGS have its own areas where all profits go to the company and on top of that it gets 10% of profits from the other franchise areas. As I have said before, profits are being used to cherry pick the best performing franchises and bring them into the PGS company. As each franchise gets picked off then the profit share from that franchise increases from 10% to 100% for PGS. This then boosts the profit level substantially and this is then used to buy out other performing franchises. So the process continues and the more franchises that are added to PGS so the profit increase becomes greater which allows the buy out of franchises to become more rapid, and so on and so on. You can see very easily how profits will not just grow for PGS but will power ahead and when that fact is appreciated by the market then the share price will power ahead as well. | fido
06/2/2007 07:17 | If PGS continues to be as profitable throughout the second half as it was in the first half, at the current market cap it would be valued at about 7 times pre tax earnings and in my opinion it would still not be overvalued at double the current market cap but in order to maintain the level of profitability, PGS may need to make suitable acquisitions. | androyd
01/2/2007 07:08 | I think PGS should offer us PI's the remaining TOMCO shares at 2p, i for one would have a dabble at that price! | androyd
29/1/2007 21:01 | That will be one less thing for PGS to think about and help to increase focus. | fido
29/1/2007 18:49 | I make that a 2.61% stake remaining: PSG Solutions PLC - TomCo Energy PLC - Holding(s) in Company RNS Number:3316Q TomCo Energy PLC 29 January 2007 PSG Solutions Holding in TomCo Energy Plc ('TomCo' or the 'Company') TomCo (TOM.L) was advised on 29 January 2007 by PSG Solutions plc that, following the disposal of 2,850,000 Ordinary Shares representing 0.68 per cent. of the Company's total share capital, PSG Solutions plc no longer holds a notifiable interest in the ordinary share capital of the Company. | fido
27/1/2007 13:33 | Balloo, If you go onto PSG`s website you will see that they are not reliant on the introduction of HIP`s at all and are set to grow in any eventuality. With regard to the areas where HIP`s are being tested the feedback from most of the sectors involved is positive but we will wait ans see what happens on that one. The fact remains that regardless of HIP`s this company is set for strong growth and is indeed why Mr Morton who is famed for his astute investing ability together with other institutions have added to their stake. | fido
27/1/2007 13:15 | Seems like a mild pullback on news that HIPs will only be mandatory if house remains unsold for a significant period. To what extent was PSG's business model reliant on HIPs anyway? Fact remains that all properties require searches. In any event, Southwind wouldn't have invested further if they weren't confident. | balloo
24/1/2007 22:22 | I have just had a good read of the Northern Rock results. The important thing as far as PGS are concerned is that business remains strong across all sectors including buy to let. This is going to result in strong profits for PGS both from increased demand resulting from increased transactions plus increased centralisation due the increasing outsourcing together with greater business generated by the rapidly increasing size of the parent franchise. There will also be increased sales of bolt on services that are sold through its retail channels. All in all I am expecting very strong results together with news of further expansion and increases in market share. | fido
24/1/2007 08:18 | androyd, The thought had crossed I must admit. | yotter
24/1/2007 06:47 | Perhaps someone is making a right move??? | androyd
23/1/2007 19:18 | Still holding these. Something must be in the pipeline here. | yotter
23/1/2007 18:54 | The more I look into the trades of PGS, the more certain I am that there is some serious accumulation going on. I have said for days that the share price is being moved up by the MM`s to attract sellers. These sales are being mopped up by a large buyer. Either there is something going on like a bid or the person buying these knows that there is some serious growth on its way for this company. Either way this is all highly bullish for the future direction of PGS. Have a look at todays trades: Time Price Quantity Type Bid Offer Buy/Sell Total Buy Total Sell Total Unknown 23/01/07 15:32 82.375 250,000 O 77.0 84.0 Buy 520,845 1,026 0 23/01/07 15:32 82.0 250,000 O 77.0 84.0 Buy 270,845 1,026 0 23/01/07 15:16 82.25 300 O 82.0 84.0 Sell 20,845 1,026 0 23/01/07 10:43 83.75 5,000 O 82.0 84.0 Buy 20,845 726 0 23/01/07 10:13 84.0 15,845 O 82.0 84.0 Buy 15,845 726 0 23/01/07 09:44 80.4 576 O 80.0 84.0 Sell 0 726 0 23/01/07 09:39 80.4 150 O 80.0 84.0 Sell 0 150 0 | fido
23/1/2007 18:10 | Can anyone explain the extraordinary volume to-day? | truffle
23/1/2007 11:06 | This is starting to look a little obvious now. Over the last couple of weeks very nearly all of the trades have been sells and yet the share price has risen. Therefore the share price is not being driven by trades. It now seems that I could be right when I said the MM`s were raising the share price to draw in the sellers to sell on to a ready buyer. So the accumulation continues and the asumption must be that those doing the buying must be of the same opinion as myself as to the bright future for PGS. | fido
22/1/2007 15:49 | Truffle, That then proves the point. Sells are being recorded and buys not, What does that tell you? | fido |
