Cant understand why Total would want any part of this when there are much lower risk assets in the PVR portfolio they could have gone for..

FTJ, The "Diablo" sure aint in de detail. Doubt any consideration was in the assignment. Druid/Drombeg was an expensive undertaking for Big Oil....

Herm,I am a car mechanic and for the last 20 years have been truthful with customers and advised them they would be financially and environmentally better off not buying Diesel vehicles, quite a few thought I was mad being as the government were promoting their sales......now they give incentives to trade them in. Maybe I'm getting old and don't like change but I can't see me having an electric car I'd rather walk or not go. Could explain more but it really bores me. Diesel Particulate Filter , sounds great doesn't it , it filters out soot , lovely ..... Then chucks the soot out 15 mins down the motorway .... That's good !!! Government and manufacturers fooled a lot of people about benefits of diesels they are only just starting on electric vehicles. Obviously only my opinion ......

That farmout deal with Total....RNS is rather light on detail. Any money change hands? Plans for drilling? Or is this old news rehashed?

They need to get the drill signed off first ! Still, at least the daydream department appears to be doing well.

Oil Explorer to renewables, yeah that could work . Seaenergy comes to mind !!! Another method of milking salaries for years before falling off a cliff and drowning.

anyone with access to Irish Times?:

Better known for its oil exploration activities off the coast of Ireland, Providence Resources will consider pivoting into renewables, its chief executive Tony O’Reilly jnr has told Mark Paul in a wide ranging interview.

FTJ, the data room at Barryroe was open so long it was painted and decorated a few times.....
Couple of decent late buys here and at Lansdowne today...................

"Europa's farmout data room to secure partner(s) and fund exploration drilling activity opened today (12 July 2018)"

I'm checking on AirBnB for a room in the South Porcupine, it doesn't appear to be listed yet.

Them anarchists will not get this bill into law. Makes no sense in a Country where there is a total dependency on oil importing.

So Brid Smith TD of the not-for-profit party gets support for her bill from the Green Party and those TD's who are anti-industry.

All of them are unwilling to acknowledge that her bill will increase emissions.

Her bill does not help in achieving emissions targets, and reduces the energy security of Ireland so increasing energy costs for business, leisure, transport and domestic use.

Might international hint extend to UK South Western approaches in upcoming round?

Also, long forgotten aspirations in the Far East could be met offshore Malaysia:

Plenty of choice out there apart from above of course...

I see. You were referring to Newgrange (today's RNS) and not Barryroe. Of course LOGP has no interest in Newgrange.

pap - was referring to "seepage indicating a petroleum system or of course a risk to the seal" in respect of perceived PVR low vol slippage.

I don't follow Malcy, steel, but I just looked at his blog and it said this on PVR. I can't see mention of the Barryroe farm out deal and whether "it could go either way".

"Providence Resources
The site survey for the Newgrange exploration well has been completed with ‘exciting̵7; new data now available. All this is to be shared with potential farminees who are being approached at present. Sealed pock marks are present at the site which could be seepage indicating a petroleum system or of course a risk to the seal.Overall I get the impression that the new data is much better than expected."

If I'm missing something could you please post it? tia

pap - weak volume suggests to me a few PIs were frit @ today's news. Malcy suggests it could go either way!
