Could be this year, but the buzz is around the period of exclusivity granted to a potential farminee to Barryroe, the elusive Holy Grail.

yes this sector along with some techs and bios moving nicely since late nov , been in and of ntog with news ongoing should move up this is looking fantastic

Still a way to go to breakeven.

Don't spend much time on here as I used to but still holding and waiting for a resolution on Barryroe.

Only hold these and NTOG at the moment.

Good to see the oil sector gaining momentum. These stocks can take you for a ride.

It's all about barryroe, the only slight concern giving one exclusivity, this suggest pvr were not in strong position...

was 500-700mln market Cap on Barryroe discovery 5 years ago. EV currently 35m so this has huge legs. Expect 20p prior to farm in then 50p following farm in given size of Barryroe.

Huge rerate coming here this month

Malcy not yet convinced:

Providence Resources issued a trading update last week which contained some interesting nuggets of information. Clearly last year was one of disappointment with the drill bit but there is still plenty to do and 2018 looks interesting. Total has exercised its option to farm-in to FEL 2/14 for a 35% interest and the operatorship which is of significant interest. Total also farmed-in to 50% of the Avalon prospect in June but Cairn, who had an option have let that lapse. Finally re Barryroe the company announce that they are gearing up for drilling an appraisal well at some stage and that a tender for a rig will be issued soon. The company also say that a farmineee has been identified and has been given a period of exclusivity to conclude the negotiations which, if concluded would lead to a ‘multi-well programme at Barryroe’. Now I’m sure that readers of this blog for many years will understand if I dont right now break out the champagne and cigars until the ink is dry on the contract, neither will I be standing on one leg waiting for it to happen, too many broken hearts on this one but closure would demand drinks from TOR…

I think a shrewd move has been made here, as someone alluded to earlier. Now negotiations out in the open, not necessarily a close period any more so lots of people, who previously couldn't, now can buy. A lot of director buys now, if I am correct about the lack of close period, would be very positive indeed. However, not being entirely au fait with exactly what would lead it to be closed or open as am not party to discusions, don't come criticizing if I'm wrong !
