Westie, given that their 2017 portfolio was one of the few published to actually go down during the euphoric rise of the markets, keeping quiet about it may be have been more appropriate.

Basically yes..
Planning now underway for a well to be drilled in 2H 2018/1H 2019

But of course they are now talking about a multi well campaign ..so that will be just the fiirst.

Cash here cant be much short of 30m£ so still a very nice risk/reward basis on such a low EV of 20/25m£.As this sinks in with the market over the next week or so I expect the price to easily run up to 10/12p in advance of the farm in result which i expect in february.

The other thing i like is that CNOOC/Nexen are drilling a Diablo lookalike in 2018 so not just about Blarneyroe next year .

I'd rather the share price reached my get out price before any takeovers and we are someway off that at present. I agree that the future does look rosier than in the past but one can't help feeling, we've been here before.

The excuses for past failures, and arguments that have arisen on this thread as a result, are difficult to erase particularly as things are much the same as when Barryroe rose out of the gloom 6 years ago.

I sincerely hope that these long years will have been worth the wait and the new year will put PVR firmly on the map as a rising O & G company.

Dj,Been a rollercaster here and 2018 should be a good one. Spot price firm mid '60's and Barryroe drill possible. Cash throwout could surprise too. Definite takeover candidate now......

Been in this share longer than I care to remember. Suppose it is a credit to TOR that the carrot has been dangled in front of me throughout, even though it is now rotten to the core. Let's hope that in 2018 we get a new carrot and a chance to have a nibble at it. Happy New Year to all in here.

They could just copy this piece from 2014. That was Sequa if I remember correctly. Let's hope for a decent partner this time. But note that TOR says comment on bulletin boards is unhelpful.

Did they ever say anything about the traces of bitumen from Druid/Drombeg taken away for further analysis? Presumably outcome was not worth mentioning to market but yet Total takes up an additional 20%. Would be interesting to see the analysis behind that decision, presumably there was some.

In the event that the JV partners agree to convert LO 16/27 into a Frontier Exploration Licence, and a subsequent decision is taken to drill an exploration well, TOTAL will pay 60% of the drilling costs, subject to a gross well cap of US$ 42 million.

It's a pity that Cairn haven't taken up their option on Avalon, but the original agreement with Total gives a 60% carry on any future well which may be useful. Good that Total haven't pulled out of the Druid/Drombeg licence but there doesn't seem to be any agreement there that they will carry anything beyond what was paid for the original option, not even more seismic or whatever. Nexen will drill in 2018 and possibly Woodside but anything else in the Atlantic margin now looks a long way off.
