Bet they were quite a few of "Our learned friends" there. At least they saved Providence from a total mauling from those spineless Transocean yokes!!!!!!!!

You have to pack the courtroom as Transocean are a big beast! Hope lessons have been learnt of the challenges that face Operators of offshore drills. This fiasco nearly finished Providence.

Void...do you know how many lawyers PVR had before the horse had bolted???

Herm – when I read the comment that PVR had ten lawyers in court, my immediate thought was ‘after the horse had bolted’.

If you have ever read any of the independent comments regarding the original contracts, how they left themselves exposed in respect of consequential loss, you will know what I mean.

Don’t get me wrong I’m no brains of Britain … but sometimes I have to switch off.

I think they will draw a line under it,as they could face a counter claim for costs - which may be already in the offing.

Steel,Will be interesting to see if Transocean want to roll the dice once again. Some think they have already been paid way over the odds for such a shoddy level of service at Barryroe.

Apparently, the legal cost ruling could still be appealed:

FWIW...Both the Examiner and the Indo have a wee article about the relatively
successful outcome of the proceedings in the commercial court last week. All good
publicity I suppose, as Barry etc get a mention.

Picked up a few more today including the last 50k b4 de bell. All due diligence
about Barryrow has to have now been completed by interested jv parties.

Agree with t'void -- Mr P will drive this forward. DEALS WILL BE DONE ! and soon - imo

The Void,Best to not ask him a leading question then! If no news by Atlantic Conference on Tuesday week Mr P will have to place a muzzle on TOR. Actions not words will move this share price

Sorry I have to say, as a PVR outsider now an insider, and a Lansdowne insider, I felt a lot better when Mr P appeared on the scene. And I feel a whole lot better now the litigation has been finalised.

We're on the move, guys.

I guess I am just a happy guy. Back to work.

But remember, when TOR says 'watch this space' I'm out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Much greater emphasis on Barryroe required! Residual doubts on progress there are definitely in the market and who knows if we close or not.

Give me Barry as well please, as heavy investment in Lansdowne (and only waiting 5 years for a result)!

Re RNS ....our focus remains on unlocking the value within our extensive asset portfolio offshore Ireland, with a particular emphasis on the farm-out processes for Barryroe and Spanish Point....

Would have thought Sp. Point dead duck for the moment as tricky; deep water, near HPHT and forecasts for future Oil/Condensate/Gas prices. Last I heard was for wet trees, pipeline to a platform in shallow water. Druid next June be nice.

Continuing Barryroe uncertainty is holding back the share price here. Are Rothschild still involved or we reliant on Laurel n' Hardy to cobble together any old deal?
