The voice of criticism IS helpful and I believe has played a part in getting Plunkett on board. I think we will move forward from here on all counts and would not be surprised to see us closer to 20p before the years out on a continuation of the oil price rise and, finally, the much fabled Barryroe deal.

Of course we are and TOR bashing don't help! No one is crazy about his performance here but until next April we are stuck with him.

Doesn't seem in a big hurry to break through the 12p barrier.

Tullow have just sold out of some of their Norwegian assets to Aker/BP, having already sold others to Statoil, no doubt they need to reduce debt but might find some money left over?

Bump,
If so, more sunshine from Pat. There is definitely something good happening at PVR offices.Probably high quality loo paper now in use and a working bidet now in service!

Steel,
Nice slow rise in POO will do me.

He will certainly be involved and it will be interesting to see if he attends Atlantic Ireland Conference on November 1. Neither of his predecessors attended anything unless they were paid a fee!!!! Daddy always saw to it that his Chairman got well paid and knew who the real boss was. This Chairman will not be summonsed to the French chateau....

I'm sure Pat Plunkett will be an 'active chairman' - well he's started already, has he not ;-)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"The balance of power between the CEO and the chairman varies widely from company to company. Because the CEO cannot make major moves without the board's assent, and his or her job security depends on their satisfaction, the chairman of the board is technically his or her superior. And an active chairman may use this power to effectively become the co-head--and ultimate boss--of the corporation."

FTJ,Pat is leading by example for sure. TOR will listen carefully to him as he has been successful in this sector and is not a seat warmer like Daddy's previous Chairman choices.
