wasjobber,

Yes, I've heard the same thing. TMTpro 32plex(+) hyperplexing should bring all the main mass spec manufacturers into the fold.

Customers will soon experience the power of higher multiplexing with the launch of the Thermo Scientific TMTpro 32plex Label Reagents, enabling the analysis of up to 32 samples in a single LC-MS injection. This higher level of multiplexing is particularly beneficial for applications requiring higher throughput and depth of coverage such as chemoproteomics, peptidomics, and single-cell proteomics.

What has it to do with Northants James. Are the team being stroke tested? Or perhaps they are testing them for 'mad cow disease' or more likely 'mad goat disease'?

Mixed emotions for head coach Sadler as Northants are denied by Derbyshire
By Jeremy Casey
Published 21st May 2024, 07:14 BST

John Sadler admitted to a sense of dejection but also pride in his team's performance as Northants were denied a first Vitality County Championship Division Two victory of the season on a dramatic final day against Derbyshire on Monday.
Facing a victory target of 371 after Emilio Gay, with a stunning 153 not out from 161 balls, and Karun Nair (55) had powered the County to a morning declaration on 301 for three, the home side dug in to rally brilliantly from sliding to 149 for seven at tea.

From looking as if they were heading for certain defeat, they held out for the next 41 overs to finish on 261 for nine and seal the draw, with Zak Chappell going on the offensive to hit 72 from 101 balls, and Anuj Dal blocking his way to 31 not out from 131 balls.

Two late wickets did give Northants hope, and in the final over of the day Daj did nick a Ben Sanderson delivery, but the ball flew agonosingly between a gap in the six-strong slip cordon and the game was up.

For Northants, Rob Keogh starred with the ball, claiming five for 62 to add to his first innings century, while loan man Liam Patterson-White took three for 58 from 29 overs.

"Proteomics as a biological assay"
Host: Eduard Sabido
Abstract:Proteomics is the systematic analysis of proteins for their various properties including expression levels, modification state, structure, interaction partners, function, and many more. For protein expression profiling, the combination of mass spectrometry with sample multiplexing creates a unique biological assay where replicates, positive and negative controls, as well as all treatment conditions can be measured in a single experiment. Tandem mass tags (TMT) facilitate these analyses and will soon be available as a 32plex reagent set. In this talk, I will highlight several new advances with these reagents including their use in targeted proteomics assays. As an example, we created an assay to measure short-lived proteins and applied it to 4 human cell lines. We identified ~1000 proteins with targeted degradation resulting in half-lives of only a few hours--often in a cell-line specific manner.

I received an email this morning from Amati (fund managers-small companies fund & Aim VCT fund ) inviting me to join a live meeting this morning -the topic being Proteomics.Unfortunately I only just saw the email but interesting to know if anyone here listened in & whether we were mentioned. Not sure if Amati still hold any PRM shares
