09/4/2018 14:52 | He means KWS (Keywords Studios), who had results ahead of expectations today and who also have a very active acquisitions policy (much more active than PTSG). IDEA and ACSO are other companies who have superb records of integrating acquisitions. I find that well-run companies also tend to acquire other good companies and rarely have problems. PTSG are another example in this space. | rivaldo
09/4/2018 12:18 | have to hope your appraisal is right; recent events show the combination of acquisitions, few tangible assets and slow collection of debts is nevertheless high risk? though they have been successful thus far. keywords, results today, seem also to be pulling it off. | mw8156
09/4/2018 10:56 | rivaldo is right, CEO Paul Teasdale is hugely impressive. I have heard him described as a "force of nature" and I would agree with that sentiment based on the times I have met him. | simso
09/4/2018 09:38 | They've all been extremely successful to date, and their run-rate of acquisitions isn't particularly huge - just enough to keep the pot boiling. Besides, having met the CEO I can be pretty sure that he is extremely shrewd..... | rivaldo
09/4/2018 09:26 | have to hope they can integrate all the acquisitions... | mw8156
09/4/2018 08:31 | Great article in SCSW. In particular. they're "already" talking to "15-20" targets, so more acquisitions are likely soon. | rivaldo

06/4/2018 07:38 | Article from 31/1/18 but still very relevant. Serious solutions to fire safety 31 January 2018 Specialist fire services providers, such as the Fire Solutions division of PTSG, are well positioned to deal with proposed regulatory changes. The demand for reliable and effective fire prevention and suppression systems is on the rise. A new regulatory system and improvements to safety standards are imminent with the full government-commissio Following publication there will be an inevitable increase in the demand for dependable safety systems. Yet putting safety first to ensure that complex buildings are safe and continue to be so doesn’t hinge on the publication of the report. For some of those providing comprehensive fire solutions the time to improve safety measures has always been a priority grounded in the present. The new Fire Solutions division of Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) helps clients across the UK by offering consultancy, design, installation and maintenance support to keep buildings and their users safe. PTSG’s Chief Executive, Paul Teasdale, said: “Changes to the regulatory regime are imminent but our culture, attitude and rigorous approach has seen us take ownership of the meaning of fire safety. What drives us in this area is the delivery of safety systems that endure throughout the life cycle of a building, going beyond the minimum requirements of compliance. “We already understand the importance of putting safety first and it’s in our DNA to take responsibility for playing a leading role as the industry’s working methods transform and we build a safer future. “Like many others we’re waiting for the publication of the report but we’re not waiting to respond to it. We’re acting now to provide confidence in systems of fire regulation and improve fire safety measures for our clients. “We deliver all works to the highest standards of safety and compliance to ensure that, in the event of a fire, buildings and all building users are protected.” The government-commissio continues.... | cottoner
29/3/2018 10:59 | Good news - come on you Spurs (disclosure - I'm not a Spurs fan!): "PTSG strikes deal with Premier League club Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) will add to the Group’s prestigious portfolio of clients by carrying out work at the new landmark stadium of a Premier League football team. Operatives from BEST will install a new lightning protection system at the new home of Tottenham Hotspur in north London, to protect visitors and building users in the event of a lightning strike. The new stadium, built on the site of the former White Hart Lane which was demolished at the end of the 2016-17 season, will have a capacity of 61,559 with a 17,500 single-tier home southern stand. etc" | rivaldo

27/3/2018 09:18 | The results quoted "unprecedented demand" in the Fire Services division. PTSG have just noted the following, which would add hugely to even that "unprecedented" demand: "London Assembly report calls for mandatory sprinkler installations in UK buildings A new report released by the London Assembly’s Planning Committee has outlined recommendations for making the installation of Automatic Fire Suppression Systems including sprinklers mandatory in all new-build residential developments above 18 metres in height. The report, called ‘Never Again: Sprinklers as the next step in fire safety’, has been drawn up in response to the recent Grenfell Tower tragedy, and states that “London cannot afford to ignore the deadly consequences of failing to protect its buildings from fire”. Published by the London Assembly’s Navin Shah AM, the report calls for a risk-based, phased, ‘road map’ towards making sprinklers mandatory in all homes in England. This includes the recommendation that “Building Regulations should require all new residential buildings over 18 metres – 6 storeys – high, new care homes and sheltered housing be fitted with sprinklers immediately.” It also recommends the retrofitting of sprinklers in all existing tall buildings, care homes and sheltered housing. The London Assembly report follows Dame Judith Hackitt’s Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety, which is due to release its final report in Spring 2018. etc" | rivaldo
26/3/2018 13:50 | Great news indeed rivaldo despite the negativity associated with the adjusted EBITDA growth reported in the latest 2017 results. I hold because of the potential growth trajectory for 2018 as, no doubt, do you. | fizzypop
26/3/2018 12:36 | Terrific news - PTSG will provide essential maintenance services to over 800 Tesco stores, offices and distribution centres: And PTSG has also won work at Wimbledon for the tennis - "Testing and remedial works will take place at all of the club’s existing installations": | rivaldo
21/3/2018 13:51 | guess they need to go easy on the acquisitions and concentrate on integrating what they've got and collecting in their debts. | mw8156
21/3/2018 12:23 | Busy in Q4 caused some increase in debtors but generally its too high and a concern especially when owed by developers who are notorious for non/part payment. Otherwise well run growing business. IG 172/176 25k/7.5k | twirl |
