Lets hope that PTSG are paid by DWP and not IRV who will be at best slow, maybe discounted and at worst do a Carillion.

Maybe a deal in the other direction would be more suitable, riv. IRG could do with some of the backbone behind PTSG.

Excellent news - the market loves these long-term contracts.

I was thinking perhaps PTSG would be an acquisition target for IRV, but on checking it seems IRV these days only has a £130m m/cap....still, I think the PTSG management have ambitions to make their company a much bigger entity than it is currently.

Latest from PTSG:

Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) is delivering a five-year contract across the UK for the Department for Work and Pensions (DwP).

All four divisions of PTSG are working on the contract covering the safety of buildings in the DwP’s estate. Specialist engineers from the Group’s Access and Safety, Electrical Services, Building Access Specialists and Fire Solutions divisions are ensuring building and electrical safety and that operatives at the buildings can work safely. The contract is being delivered on behalf of FM service provider Interserve.

The DwP estate comprises more than 700 buildings throughout the UK. PTSG’s work over the five-year contract will ensure that the DwP can provide safe, effective, compliant and accessible spaces across its estate for their employees and customers.

Interserve PLC was awarded a five-year facilities management contract by the DwP in October 2017. The deal provides mechanical, electrical and building maintenance.

PTSG’s divisions deliver consistently high-quality products and services to specialist markets that can be safely relied on at all times

Note:

Interserve PLC was awarded the five-year facilities management contract by the DwP in October 2017 and was worth £227m.

Interserve will provide the DWP estate with mechanical, electrical and building maintenance. The company will also provide cleaning, catering, waste disposal, removal and secure destruction of confidential waste services to over 700 buildings throughout the UK, covering over 1.3 million square metres of space.

Lots more news flow.....worth noting how much of this is essential, non-discretionary work, and also how much is for blue chips who can be relied upon to pay up for and repeat such work:

Working nationwide on essential maintenance for the Nationwide:

More essential maintenance at Scottish Power's HQ:

Safety equipment testing for ITV:

OT : I thought the SCSW link was a good one, so I was entitled to a small plug for SCH and KAPE in return :o))

2017 Fire division turnover £7.1m. In the last results the company stated there is unprecedented demand for fire services. The number stated in this week's interview is an pipeline of £40m. Massive increase. This is before the report is published into the tragic Grenfell fire which is due in spring 2018.

Taken from Stockwatch's interview with Paul Teasdale:

"The last bit of the group is PTSG Fire and
with the 2017 results, Teasdale reported this
division for the first time. Sales were £7.1m with
an operating profit of £1.6m. Elements of fire
safety, such as the installation and maintenance of
dry risers and emergency lighting, which were
previously carried out in the Electrical Services
arm, were moved out to create the new division.
This was then given more scale with the purchase
of UK Sprinklers (Sep-17).

Premier Technical is seeing burgeoning spending
on new fire systems following some tragic incidents and
the CEO tells me of a record c.£40m pipeline of installations
across his divisions. The rating is quite modest."

Being a cynical old sod, I always suspect press advice to buy is aimed at shifting stock that someone wants to sell.

problem with questor was that they tipped conviviality and it went bust 3 weeks later, one of the worst tips of all time! Luckily, i did not take up their suggestion,
but I am reasonably confident that PTSg should perform very much better.

Amati are terrific overall.

OT : mw8156, almost everybody and their dog tipped CVR. Tipsters have to make loads of tips every day/week - it's obvious some of them are going to crash and others are going to soar. PTSG should soar if they take things sensibly, reduce debtors as they've said they are and don't expand too fast.

have to hope this Questor share tip does better than their last AIM stock tip, Conviviality...they are quoting Amati on PTSG who have a good, top quartile, record in smaller companies investing.

Cheers - looks like PTSG are really getting noticed now, with the SCSW tip on the weekend as well.

Here's the start of Questor's tip:

"Questor: loyal customers, essential products, strong growth and proven managers – buy PTSG
11 April 2018 • 7:39am

“Things are shifting underneath the market’s feet. At times like this you want to own stocks that are not affected by any of it.”

This is the view of one smaller companies investor, who was referring to concerns over such developments as the “trade war” between America and China and the recent sell-off among the giant technology stocks.

“We want stocks that are not subject to sidewinds from things we can’t control,” added the investor, David Stevenson of Amati Global Investors. “One example is Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG), which we hold in our UK Smaller Companies fund.”

The firm provides essential specialist building services such as installing and maintaining fire extinguishers and..."
