The market shut aim Friday at 5290 currently 5390 weekend futures so should get a good mark up tomorrow. Not only that oil surged post ftse close on Friday and there is talk low oil prices won't last in which case this could rise many multiples from here

thepatriot is another one for filter. I think I've got majority of posts filtered here now. LOL.

It was the Russian refusal to cut production that prompted the Saudis to boost supply, not shale. Meeting collapsed on March 6th. See the chart. It's not necessary for Saudis to cut to $25 to defeat shale, they could've just waited. Or set the price slightly down, to say $50. Shale will be main market share loser, but it'll take months for shale production to drop, even at current oil price. Could be well over a year before shale drops 2m barrels that Saudis have just added. But Saudis dropped their official selling price in EUROPE to $25 to undercut Russian Urals oil. Doesn't look like a long term strategy to me. They want Russia to cut and then they'll cut too to balance market.

sounds like you a superhero?

Maybe take a trip to Milan and show us, you are superhero and you won't be affected. Take your family with you on that trip too.

Will would shorts close their position, the world is on the brink of viral and financial annihilation

Saudi having price war with US you fool. It's shale oil that's taking their market share. Keep listening to media narrative.

I personally don’t think that OPEC was the issue, Coronavirus is the main cause to crash the market and I still see the market further to fall to maybe 4800

This will rocket again tomorrow as shorts rush to close positions, then so will come down again good opportunity to trade.

adg, I agree, can't see craziness continuing long term.

Opec is the big issue, not the virus.

If Opec+ was functional, it would cut production to compensate for the loss of demand due to virus. IIRC Saudis cut production by 75% in 1980s.

It's not doing that this time. Saudis are having price war with Russia and delivering 2.2 million MORE barrels per day in April than in February.

This is crazy behaviour, they are selling oil for $25 per barrel in Europe and adding to the glut. Downward pressure on Brent coming:

Oh look another clickbait link to the worst twitter handle ever created. He thinks people are fooled by the number of followers even though he bought 90% of them. The remaining 10% are his other handles.. lol.
