Back to suppressing the price on a good day for oil.

Looks like retail interest here has died a death...and why not when usual market forces have no effect

marshall wace are reducing their short 0.1% every 2 days since mid march so should be out by end of april if they continue.just in time for the bonds resolution in may.
neck out and say we have seen the bottom and will now start the slow move back up with next stop at £1.10.

My take on the situation is as follows. Shorting of the company shares has caused problems. At the moment it appears that the shorters may be starting to close out in a fairly orderly fashion due to the fact that there are not sufficient buyers to make any impact on the share price in a positive way.Continued uncertainty about the refinancing may be the reason for lack of buyers. Also Premier has a huge amount of shares in free float. What it needs is for a couple of institutions to come on board and take up more of the free float. There needs to be clear news that the all aspects of the refinancing are complete and then maybe some good news on Catcher, this should create the positive market that will squeeze the shorters and push the share price up.Its fair to say that the smaller private share holders need to hold there nerve with the shorters in charge but unless you think the company is going bust, which looks very unlikely, now may be a good time to buy.As for the bonds, there is absolutely no evidence that there are any serious problems. They have drifted down a few pence from the recent high but nothing more.I could understand there being some concern if they had dropped to 50p or 40p but they are trading normally at 85p.

So apart from shorts closing, "at" bots pushing our share price down, what's the next catalyst to move us up?? I thought the refinancing deal would seal it, but nope, here we are back at 60p......don't post, more lurking on this BB so any enlihhtened posters tia

Rogk. Please provide evidence that the bonds are lower. Only pmo1 is publicly traded in an easy to find way and the price has been remarkedly stable for weeks

Yep the same two shorters are continuing to reduce - Marshall Wace and Systematica

Guess MMs need to generate sell volume so that their hedgie mates can continue to close without creating a squeeze situation

May or June his year, some explo actionIn Mexico, having been carried through to the end of 2016, Premier exercised its option to increase its equity interest in Block 7 to 25% on the 22 December 2016, subject to CNH approval. The recently reprocessed seismic data covering Block 7 confirmed the robustness of the Zama prospect, a three-way dip structure sealed against a salt feature. Encouragement was provided by a flat spot seismic feature resulting in this prospect being classified as low risk. The P90-P10 gross unrisked resource range of the overall Zama structure is estimated at 100-500 mmboe (in line with released CNH estimates). The JV partners plan to spud the Zama prospect in Q2 2017 with initial results expected within 50 days of spudding.

Is there a belief that once all of this fictitious shorting has finished we may even head north again or is this a dead duck heading to the dust!!

To clarify, I believe the shorters are being given as much time as they needs to exit their positions, in the same way they 'mysteriously' seemed to know that PMO was a nailed on short just before the refinancing news.

Of all the barmy suggestions coming out of advfn, the idea that the pmo board are working with shorters is one of the barmiest!

Yep, just as expected - the share price gets walked up at the end of each day as the market/MM's & shorters expect a RNS from PMO stating how the Convertible bond holders are signing up - the last formal statement from the company said 50% - anything since such as the 60% the IR dept will say and the suggestions of 80% via verbal is all hearsay as the company is not prepared to come out in print and state that - why?

Therefore the shorters just return to their easy pickings at the start of each day because no RNS appears.

SP now down - POO up

Is TD party to this or is the faux naivety about why the share price is down not faux at all?
