I do not get this - it appears the offer is unconditional and agreed - so if you buy some more pra shares now at 6p plus, are you not guaranteed one mmp share (presently 105p) for 13.3 pra shares ?? Where is the downside ?

once you realise just how awry things were at Agora, you begin to appreciate the potential upside available to PRA from running it properly

the PRA deal is still in negotiation, the MVI deal is off

makes the focus on PRA a bit sharper I suppose

MMP was up at the close. I'm a holder of MVI who's share price had been doing ok but trade at a significant discount to NAV. MMP could be a useful vehicle for getting some cash back or having exposure to PRA and MVI's main holding ETO for the longer term.

I don't like the delaying of the annual results

How can I be sure that Marwyn doesn't have more information than the market now?

After all there is crossover at board level (Shaw & Watts) between PRA and Marwyn entities and a lot of the detail of the results would have been discussed months back.

Perhaps in this current financial climate MMP will be able to provide the financial fire power to really take PRA forward. Accepting their offer may well pay off in the medium term. Interesting times ahead.

UK/Europe / home based AIM market companies should do well this year they seem to have been overlooked, not sure why PRA are trading at such a low valaution anyways this backs up my thoughts

I wonder who robbed my original note to make it appear on that link? I am pretty sure I posted it here myself previously on this thread...

I don't mind, but its a touch out of date now. The number of shares in issue is going to be much more than the 400m I noted at the time of writing. Other than that, it wasn't a bad bit of writing for the time

Incidentally, there is a piece attributed to the Mail on Sunday suggesting that Brian Fraser is close to buying Buckingham

Until the terms of the deal are known (and they might never be), its not possible to decide if this is good or bad for PRA. I expect PRA did have a close look, maybe Fraser has deeper pockets (i.e. is not still digesting Beacon) or maybe he just wanted it more... I'd rather PRA waslked away from negotiations rather than into a bidding war that made the price too high.

A European deal would be more value imo

Micro Bingo and Wide Area connected bingo machines (VBTs) are an important element of PRA's plans for the future, you only need to read the interims etc. to know that.

On a recent visit to The Crystal Rooms, I noticed that the number and prominence of VBTs has increased considerably.

A few things about Bingo are exciting from an investor perspective.

1) Bingo is VAT free so a £1 in a VBT is worth more to the operator than a £1 in a B3 for now.
2) Bingo can offer much bigger prizes - jackpots of £4k and even £5k are promoted on the crystal rooms website for instance. Not even casino machines can offer over £4k jackpots, so,VBT's are the biggest jackpot machines in the country and that has to be more attractive to (more) punters
3) Connecting more machines (across the whole estate potentially) means that the progressive jackpots available grow more quickly. Even machines that aren't being played don't go 'stale' - the pots available keep on ticking up as other machines in the network are being played. The closer to being 'full' those pots are, then it becomes more attractive for players to have a go on the machine.

Converting an AGC to a Bingo Hall enables micro bingo to be played and, with the pari mutuel concept, jackpots could be a few grand quite easily. Games could be played pretty much all day pretty frequently and should be a good way of bringing in punters too. Add to that a few VBTs on the network showing £4k+ jackpots and the 8 B3s that a bingo hall can already have on site and you can see why PRA has been keen to convert sites to this format. I am looking forward to the roll out starting and I hope it is soon!

the break option might produce something of a size that PRA could acquire

the whole thing is too big IMO - but I would like to be proved wrong on that and see PRA take the lot on good terms
