The comment was just to indicate that Polo is functioning normally post the AGM result wit Tang still at the helm following the failure of some shareholders to topple him. Clearly the failed coup has hung over the company for several months and was not good for the business. Senior management time diverted from their day jobs which won’t be fully resolved until the new Nomad is appointed. There has also been Covid to deal with and its effect on all businesses.
I have many times expressed the view that Tang’s remuneration on any metric is excessive. He said he would reward shareholders via the Share price rather than dividends and he has failed to deliver. He should have to rely on the same reward as the shareholders and a reasonable salary. I believe he has worked hard on GCM and is close to a good result but the time this has taken is longer than anyone could have predicted. This has meant cash had to be conserved to support GCM which let’s not forget was a large Polo investment by Dattels in 2008.
Tang has his faults but for him GCM has always been the main mission and the big prize that he is focused on. In my opinion he is not a buffoon and you have not made any case to support your statement.

888ICB - "business as usual at Polo" seems a strange choice of phrase for someone who supports Tang, as this means perpetuating the process of destruction of the company.
Need I remind you, the shareprice is DOWN about 95% under Tang's leadership.
I am really perplexed at the unquestioning attitude of some investors who support Tang in the face of the actual results he has achieved. Wake up and look at the facts.
However - I guess he is enriching himself with ridiculous a remuneration package, so for him, its not a total disaster....
I do think that Polo will sort out its Nomad problem, a new one will be appointed and Polo will not be suspended. But the question will remain as to why the last one resigned. In the absence of any reason being given, it is fair to assume that there is an underlying issue with the governance that a less fussy Nomad (ie the incoming one) will perhaps turn a blind eye to. Whatever happens, its all quite "whiffy".....
My own opinion of Tang remains that he is a total buffoon.
