15/8/2018 18:08 | There are no short positions listed for PPG on the official list. Hopefully that puts that to bed. | rhug1966
15/8/2018 17:49 | as I mentioned there is a list maintained of shorted stocks, if you wish I can provide you with the link. Last time I looked PPG wasn't on it. Perhaps you don't know the trading history of this stock. As anyone buys, some mystery seller drops some stock...we do have suspicions who's doing it, they're always selling into any rise. | pbanus
15/8/2018 17:44 | You are deluding yourself if you think that no one could be shorting this. | a1m1investor
15/8/2018 17:04 | a1m1investor you are quite welcome to argue the opposite viewpoint that anyone takes, if you have the evidence to support it. So far it appears you can't or don't wish to challenge the points made, so prefer to take a paranoid viewpoint thinking that external factors like other posters are against you and your wish of financial gain...Perhaps it is the internal weak management team that are holding you back. | pbanus
15/8/2018 16:11 | bmcb5 - cruel but fair | 2pablo
15/8/2018 16:00 | I'm not deluding myself that you are here for fair and healthy debate, that's for sure | bmcb5
15/8/2018 15:41 | Well done bmcb5, you should apply for a job as a trading phycologist after listening to that podcast, obviously an expert now. If you cannot see or do not understand the difference between bearish debate and someone spending considerable time and effort to carry out a sustained attack on a stock, and if you do not understand that 99% of people who spend their time on AIM bulletin boards are doing so for attempted financial gain then you are deluded and still extremely naive to what the AIM market is all about. In the same manner that you rightly say some losers will delude themselves that their losses were someone else's fault, you are deluding yourself that AIM punters are here for fair and healthy debate and none have an ulterior motive. | a1m1investor

15/8/2018 14:04 | Monty's talking about getting nine girls pregnant at the same time on his BigDish thread, on the face of it sounds easier than making a profit out of those BigDish shares! | pbanus
15/8/2018 13:43 | savvy mentions that income from this year wont hit the PPG balance sheet, but it would change in future years. Well if PPG continues the spv approach then the same problem will persist, how will any income ever be consolidated from the spvs to the PPG balance sheet in terms of cash balances and equity? | pbanus
15/8/2018 13:35 | Doubt any shorts here as stock came from 3p . Just some wrong info on other boards may have caused this weakness . | nw99
15/8/2018 13:34 | great to have you back. A dose of healthy scepticism does not go amiss. | 1savvyinvestor
15/8/2018 13:31 | Another nugget I picked up from a podcast while on holiday: Humans naturally relate successes to internal forces, and failures to external forces. I see evidence of this everywhere, especially in places like advfn. A successful trade is because the trader picked the right stock, timed her trades well, etc. An unsuccessful trade is where the market was manipulated, the pesky market-makers or shorters or rampers caused all the problems. etc. | bmcb5
15/8/2018 13:29 | @ a1m1investor short selling, really? Just trying to get folk like you into the real world. You can obtain official lists of all stocks with shorted positions if you really want to close that thought out. | pbanus
15/8/2018 13:27 | I very much doubt that anybody is short on this. It is possible to have a bearish view, without feeling the need to trade it. It is also possible to express bearish views, in the interest of balanced debate, and with an intent to make yourself a better investor. I come on bulletin boards in the hope of picking up information which helps my understanding, either of the specific company, the sector, or investing in general. Over the years, I have picked up all sorts of useful information. The very best bits have been those which challenged my existing beliefs, and ultimately led to me changing my beliefs. The mind is generally open to views which challenge WEAKLY held beliefs, but is resistant to views which challenge STRONGLY held beliefs. So i try very hard to recognise my views and opinions for what they are - weakly held beliefs - unless I have hard evidence to prove otherwise. Another rant over. | bmcb5
15/8/2018 13:15 | Clearly a lot of interest today anyway, whether it's rockpool buyers, shorts closing (appears some posters on the other thread are trying too hard to slate the business here) or the market seeing a value entry at this level, it does look like the share price could see a good bounce from this level. GLA! | a1m1investor
15/8/2018 11:53 | ha!! You are indeed correct bmcb. And why should anyone believe me?!! I've been positive for so long that not many believe me anymore. Indeed not sure I even believe me anymore!! However a couple of comments. At last years AGM Phil Stephens said that at the appropriate time, ie when gas sites are a reality, the full time workforce will increase . It is certainly a question I will ask again at the AGM. a1m1investor1 needs to be aware that there will be no visible improvement in results this year. Although the six sites have each earned approximately £1 million this will not show on the Plutus Balance sheet. That is part of the reason that it is so hard to value Plutus. Being only 45% owners of those sites means income cannot be attributed to Plutus. This should change in 2019 - either the sites will be sold or Plutus will buy them themselves. I understand bmcb's feeling that nobody will lend such a small company so much money but I believe the way it is being structured will make this work. I understand frustration that what Rockpool investors see is hidden to thew wider market. Indeed there may even be some Rockpool investors who are buying this confidential update . I can also see that Plutus can't RNS the update as there is nothing guaranteed, signed and sealed. | 1savvyinvestor
15/8/2018 11:42 | if savvy is to be believed, I find it very puzzling that Rockpool investors get price sensitive information on PPG that should be on an RNS. Surely the way to make these announcements is to inform both parties simultaneously. Perhaps savvy is exaggerating the news he has come by, if he has come by any at all. What I find less puzzling is following the buys this morning there was a 500k sell, a pattern we see regularly. | pbanus
15/8/2018 11:32 | Would you not like to know what it actually says, pablo? I could say "I've just received an update an it sounds bad". That sounds pretty bad, no? | bmcb5
15/8/2018 11:30 | Blimey, no fisticuffs lol Anyway, I think what savvy says about the info on the 3 new sites disseminated to Rockpool investors sounds good too. | 2pablo |
