05/12/2007 08:51 | worth a read but not too short: "It's a great appointment". | timtom2
04/12/2007 23:41 | The man is no idiot. | pinkfish
04/12/2007 23:40 | CBR online have an interesting article by new CEO Murphy. Can't post link - worth a quick search to read it. This is a buy at this level. | pinkfish
04/12/2007 08:45 | BT Pension Fund looked to have topped-up to the tune of 1M shares - an extra 1% or so. | timtom2
29/11/2007 21:12 | Good find TimTom | aquilla
28/11/2007 21:37 | small but a decent example: | timtom2
28/11/2007 12:42 | mikey - there is no method that is infallable but hardware with the software record is close. The whole compliance thing isn't just a hardware platorm for the records !! Some clever bod have covered the needs to avoid evasion. | timtom2
28/11/2007 12:30 | Good point Martin. non-rewriteable disks would just go missing if they contained information of use to the detriment of a business, look at the government ;-) | mikey_b
28/11/2007 12:26 | I believe the compliance issue is to do with unalterable hard copy. I'm not sure how important this really is, I don't think anyone is really sure, but Plasmon sells a non-rewritable (and hence unchangeable) recording medium, which means a record on Plasmon medium has a better chance of being accepted in a court of law. I thought the results were quite good. They are still saying that break even in 4Q is achievable. Nigel Martin | gnnmartin
28/11/2007 09:14 | over optics 100's of miles to a Raid farm somewhere if they can get a decent solution at HQ. Tim, This is exactly the solution preferred. Redundancy, protection, guarantees, security and compliance issues taken care of. Sarbanes Oxley is a bloody pain by the way. | mikey_b
28/11/2007 09:04 | I always thought the point of a business was to make money It appears this business never will It`s always jam tomorrow A gravy train for the directors Considered a purchase but after reviewing the figs no chance It`s not a viable business Same excuses for the losses and continued losses | alfg
28/11/2007 08:59 | It's legal compliance to Oxley etc. Also similar regs for the Japanese market on financials etc. A decent market to address and not one I gather companies would be keen to send data over optics 100's of miles to a Raid farm somewhere if they can get a decent solution at HQ. Anyway - just have to see what happens now they have the right man at the helm and products that do have a market. Notice mention of channel changes - hope they stuff them with some stocking orders. | timtom2
28/11/2007 08:49 | Maybe not headlined buit if one doesn't comply with whatever rules are in place then the business is dead, it is not as if anyone has an option if they want to trade is it? | mikey_b
28/11/2007 08:45 | I don't think it is a red herring. Check on who else headlines compliance. Turning around PLM isn't going to be a quick job but there are gains to be made - especially from this level. | timtom2
28/11/2007 08:23 | Its a red herring though isn't it? If it was exceptional it would be different but we have to assume any compliance issues are part of the package for everyone. It's not a USP or unique criteria that only Plasmon can fulfill. Correct me if I am wrong though. rgds, mikey | mikey_b
28/11/2007 07:14 | Results out. Not brilliant but at least: "Despite the ongoing softness in US IT capital spend and reduced revenue visibility, the Board believes that we can still meet the cash break even goal in the 4th quarter. This is due to the following factors: the strengthening of our senior leadership, the demand for our new Archive Solutions to meet the compliance and environmental priorities of enterprise customers, the increasing maturity of our new channel partners and our continued cost control." And there's that word "compliance" again! | aquilla
27/11/2007 10:31 | pinkfish........comp | mikey_b
26/11/2007 09:16 | hi pinkfish, what compliance aspects are you talking about ? | mikey_b
25/11/2007 21:37 | It's a different Hanover - not the Hanover investor imn PLM, Cosalt, SMG etc by the looks of it. No need for concern. | timtom2
25/11/2007 21:11 | Where did you read it? There may be more than one company with a similar name according the searching I have done. Was it the UK arm of an overseas entity? | timtom2
25/11/2007 17:09 | I've just read that Hanover Capital Group has been forced into liquidation for debt by revenue and customs any Views? | strutt12
