Indeed, John.

It was always anticipated/hoped that instis would show an interest after XD.

They have duly obliged, with Schroder, Citi, Working Capital and Morgan Stanley taking a total of 24% of Pine's market cap since that date!

A clear vote of confidence from professional investors.

Seems strange that it's dropped ahead of dividend re-investment. However the dividend is not yet available to trade in my ISA - if that is the case for most investors then there will probably be buying later today or tomorrow.

I wrongly thought it might go up as the 24.5p dividend was paid today and existing shareholders may re-invest the dividend.

Taken a position here today.
If Andy Brough at Schroders likes them that's a great positive.

FWIW:

1. Lithia put fresh money in at the equivalent of 10.3p per share (excluding dividend), which is 206p post consolidation.

2. The only forecasts that I've seen are from Zeus, you might be able to get them by signing up here:

otherwise I downloaded them from Research Tree.

I'm new to this stock so have maybe missed a few things. However, I gather from what I have picked up that much has happened since that 8p valuation. Not the least of which is the fact that they are no longer rated as a car dealer but as a technology stock.

My readings thus far suggest an industry leading product.

Considerable potential in the US via the joint venture with Lithia (who are also a 17% shareholder), the largest US dealership committed to rolling out the product to several hundred of the dealers in their network, plus other dealerships, potentially running into further hundreds. This alone, with the higher rating of US Tech stocks could be a game changer.

Increased turnover worldwide with management confident of future growth.

As for the UK market, dealerships will be more favourably disposed towards a standalone Pine than the former Pendragon (a competitor).

As I said earlier, I'm a new boy to this stock so would be grateful if you could point me in the direction of those forecasts that you mention.

when pdg was around 32.5, then pine was valued at only 8p and looked good value. It has almost doubled since, now 16p x20 = 320, which on forecasts looks expensive. I was intending to buy yesterday, but decided to give it a miss.

You are worrying about the way your holdings are listed,
niklol, rather than any actual loss. As Ap says, this
always happens on the day a stock goes ex-dividend. One
day the stock is worth what it is worth plus the expected
dividend to come, and the next it is worth only what it is
worth. It is seldom that a dividend is as large as this one,
so the effect on the share price is usually much less.
