21/2/2018 15:17 | spacedust Yes shorting AIM stocks is the way to go but as a PI they won't let you do it because its a sure fire way to make money. If they ever let you short a stock that's because they know news or heavy buying is on the way to burn you. You can only make money from a surprise where PIs rush in before MM have enough stock to meet demand. This is what happened to PYC in November 2017.Takeovers, oil and gold finds are the types of shocks to the system where MM cannot react quickly enough. But if you just sit on your hands waiting for news they'll casserole you. | pwhite73
21/2/2018 15:10 | spacedust: "After this no more aim stocks left in my portfolio. Sticking with main markets" Everyone with a bit of common sense eventually comes to the same conclusion | mister md
21/2/2018 15:05 | Having said that the recent contracts covers 70% of their costs. So another contract is needed in March | spacedust
21/2/2018 15:05 | Onwoukdnhave thought they would place shares around 20p when the price hovered to 32p | spacedust
21/2/2018 14:43 | So better to short aim stocks from year highs.....should make money overall. After this no more aim stocks left in my portfolio. Sticking with main markets | spacedust
21/2/2018 14:40 | spacedust I'm right on that front because in the old days when a company announced a placing it would be effective from that day or the date the company advises the shares will hit the markets. That's why you use to hear the saying 'the shares will remain subdued until the overhang is cleared ' Today this rarely happens. Placing shares are drip fed into the market on a daily basis until the years allocation is gone. This is why your AIM Portfolio is always in the red. Before you buy any stock always check how many shares they can issue before the next AGM. PYC has its entire quota for the year still untouched. The nominal value is 0.4p. It is the job of the nomad and broker to shift as many at the highest possible price. Before the next AGM. | pwhite73
21/2/2018 11:51 | Pwhite you have been saying that since 12p. Proce halved since you splattered your so called rubbish. How comes you were right on that front? | spacedust
21/2/2018 11:50 | Yes suck the mug punters in | cool hand kev
21/2/2018 11:44 | chv Corrected already. The MM simply put through sells equivalent to the last couple of PI buys. It's so bloody obvious. Sit still and they will trash your stock down to the next placing price. | pwhite73
21/2/2018 09:16 | That's strange the SP's Blue but it will probably be corrected by the end of the day Those pesky MM's | cool hand kev
21/2/2018 08:56 | No They are sent to hell For EVER | the patient investor
20/2/2018 21:28 | Space dust- it may be equivalent to the Ostrich Syndrome ie bury your head in sand and listen only to views that are similar to your own! Even though evidence may point to an alternative! | smcl
20/2/2018 21:24 | Patient what did filtering Do? I never understood what is achieved by filtering another poster? Genuine question ....what is the purpose of filtering ? | spacedust
20/2/2018 21:00 | and when i say ALL i mean ALL me included | the patient investor
20/2/2018 20:34 | Smcl - I can relate to that. | spacedust
20/2/2018 20:33 | But loads of news on the way so let's see how things pan out. Small market cap with low shares in issue with a value of 4m or so derisks this somewhat but any dilutions then we will be toast | spacedust
20/2/2018 20:32 | PWhite- forget these ignorant posters- we need all points of view. Nothing is certain in this game. Falling in love with a share is a dangerous and often expensive game as we all know. | smcl
20/2/2018 20:00 | Stig, you ramping this prior to a placing then, is that why they released early ;o? | wossupsa |
