14/10/2020 15:01 | Cancer Research UK and NCI (US National Cancer Institute) are running Cancer Grand Challenge project Interestingly PYC Chairman specifically mentioned Cancer Research UK project in first paragraph of his Final Results comments : "Dr Paul Harper, Non-Executive Chairman, commented: "The Company continues to make good progress, with all key indicators of performance moving in the right direction. We are pleased to be working with Cancer Research UK (announced July 2019) and to have repeat contracts with both CellCentric and Bicycle Therapeutics, as well as our first contract with Astellas Pharma Inc." I expect Physiomics could apply for multiple project streams in this Competition alongside other teams they've worked with in the past ICR and Royal Marsden NHS (NIHR) Oxford University and Oxford NHS (OAHSN) | the stigologist
14/10/2020 14:02 | WOW !!! Why treatment regimens? While some cancer cells are killed by treatment, others can survive. This is why some cancers can come back. The cancer cells that aren’t destroyed can continue to grow, forming a tumour again. To get around this, doctors often give different treatments in combination. But it’s not always clear which combination is best, or how much of each treatment to give, or when the different treatments should be given. This Cancer Grand Challenge aims to find clear answers to those questions by improving our understanding of combination treatments. If we better understand how treatments work together, we can make sure patients get the best combinations for their disease. And we might be able to predict how a patient’s cancer will respond to particular treatments, so we can tailor the approach and stay one step ahead of the disease. | the stigologist
