Happy with the jump in the yield as well value hound and also the chance of another buyback
The prospects of the security business certainly look better after winning another contract that will be profitable

Good results at first glance - and with a 10% yield (at 15pps).

On a v.quick 'back of the envelope' calculation, I get it to be worth over 20pps, but only bought back a small amount after selling into the buyback strength in April 2022.

Ouch.

At the end of September they had £691k in the bank, and at the interims in November they said this:

It is noted that authority was obtained at the last AGM for the Company to potentially undertake a further share buyback programme(s), however, no decision has been taken on this matter at the present time.

Perhaps they will now.

At these levels, I wonder if they'll start a new buyback.

Same here and for the same reasons a couple of weeks ago. There may be other opportunities to buy as it's so volatile given how tiny it is for a listed co., now the buybacks have finished.

I'm out too, NTV. Useful liquidity with the share buybacks.

Lowest price paid per Ordinary Share: 26.88p

yet the director sales announced in the same RNS are at 26.7p. I would have thought sales under these circumstances would have been settled directly with the company, but it seems there's still a broker taking 0.18p/share. We can see the trades going through at the two prices.

They need to pause now and wait for the price to come back

Buyback is "up to a maximum of 1,961,259 Ordinary Shares or such number of Ordinary Shares as may be acquired for a gross amount of £300,000, whichever is the lower"

So far they've bought back 1,175,033 shares for £285,245.20, plus costs if those are not included in the vwaps they quote. They don't say that they've finished, but they have very little more to go this time.

(by my calculation)

I see the small shareholders are getting a raw deal in the buyback
They are currently being offered just over 23p so broker is taking a 1p cut

no; today :-)

edit: they say they did it today but some of the trades seem to have been yesterday's.

I am sure we will soon find out
Certainly don't seem to have many buyers out there other than for the buyback

More than 10% of the buyback in one day. I suppose there may have been some pent up demand to sell and things may be slower going forwards.

No buyback announcements yet, perhaps they have to wait for the price to stabilise because of the limit of "105 per cent of the average middle market closing price of
an Ordinary Share over the five business days preceding the date of purchase".

I have mentioned Marlowe (MRL) before and today they have announced results. A complete contrast to PHSC.Their philosophy is to take over small bolton companies and grow and integrate them. That was PHSC's philosophy but they were scarred by B2B and have now gone ex-acquisition.I think that is a shame as they have sufficient cash on the balance sheet and can think of nothing better to do than return it to shareholders. Perhaps Marlowe will find them? However Marlowe have stated that normally owners approach them,I can't see that as the two executive directors currently earn £168000 between them. Marlowe's equivalent for 2 executive directors is £343000 with revenue of £134.5 mi at the half way stage. A share buy back will perhaps temporarily increase the share price but I would prefer real growth in the company. If a share buy back occurs then I,and probably others, will find themselves above the 3% level and will have a greater voice.

Typically solid performance from the company. There always seems to be one drag on the numbers and very much the case again.I like that they are 'confident' of further progress in the second half.Paul is I think a creature of habit, so my guess would be he'll wait until he's got a decent handle on what FY will look like before doing a buyback. That said I think it'll happen. My guess would be early or mid February.
