More likely that The Momentum Investor had them as their tip of the month and reckons a profits upgrade will come in due course as 82% of their profits are from overseas 58% from Europe and 24% from Japan and the Far East.

'A very lucrative offer'?
Could you please explain?

In a world where many firms hype positions which are not done deals, this makes a refreshing change. It seems to me that Photo-Me is actually under-playing what could be a very lucrative offer by the Japanese which has all the hallmarks of going to plan.

Dip over?

Just needs abit of volume now to make another leg higher and gradually trend back up.

FIL have added to their holdings, up from 29.7 million to 31.3 million. Smart move, £ tanking again.

Headed higher after this dip.

Seems to have stopped dropping as much recently; maybe it'll bounce back into the 150p-160p range soon...

Some interesting points in the article although the writer does sit on the fence somewhat and doesn't really offer his opinion on whether it is oversold. If anything the article leans more towards no (it's not oversold).

They look like two rollover trades. The total position being carried forward is a little under 1.4M shares.

Noteworthy 2.8m late trades after the bell, although looks like 2 almost matching pairs. Beyond my comprehension - can anyone else provide an insight as to whether they might be some kind of rollover or are actually 4 separate trades?

Blimey, 1.2% is impressive! I wonder what kind of return they get on their cash pile?

As the rate is so low, assuming it is denominated in Euros, I guess it could be of some use as a bit of a hedge against the large number of euro cash on the balance sheet?

According to scsw, the £10m loan is over 7 years at a low rate of 1.2%

Hmm.. Down we go again - not sure why the dramatic fall today.

To continue the theme of cash and what to do with it. Ever since I first invested here, PHTM has always seemed to carry a lot of cash - I actually prefer companies with these "inefficient" balance sheets and a net cash position.

The thing I am a little confused about though is why the company has over £70M of gross cash and is paying some to shareholders as it has too much but has taken out a £10.5M loan to pay for the roll out of the laundrettes? I get that this loan is probably very cheap but surely it would be even cheaper to use their own cash? Anyone help me with the logic?

This is the steal of the month. It is being treated as a domestic retail company instead of a foreign currency beneficiary. Cheap as chips!

The company has lost 5% on measly volume on a day when the falling GBP is to the company's benefit. MMs trying to soak up some cheapies????
