Thats why I am in MTI wireless....(mwe) Its easy to see wireless is going to be the next evolutionary step, so to my thinking the antennas are an obvious necessity in this. But i could be wrong, i was very wrong with pipex and got stung for being in too long and being too optimistic!

This company is useless and the sooner it is taken over the better. Once again they have proved themselves incapable of updating my account details and of debiting my credit card. Tracy on the telephone said "we are very sorry our online updating system is not working so if you updated your details online then I'm afraid they haven't actually been updated, in future we will only be accepting updates over the telephone" Lol ! What kind of IP is this that can't even update its own records online !? Totally useless, and this happens every time you try and update your credit card details. "We did send you en e-mail" she continued "but you may not have received it as it may have been considered to be spam" Lol again ! I did not receive any e-mail from them either spammy or otherwise. Roll on the takeover, surely Tiscali can't be any worse ?

Well, Tiscali are refinancing in the "first months of 2008" to the tune of 150M euros with a further 60 M in bonds.



As for PCCW, not sure it's worth buying but they have managed to get their WiMAX license fully mobile which is more than Pipex have but why buy that when the juicy bits of the spectrum are up for grabs this year?

I'm afraid I know nothing about BlackRock: their sale at just off 9p makes me suspect they might be behind the recent rise and subsequent fall...as stevi1111 posted: a pump 'n' dump.

morning all, yes VOB i noticed blackrock selling, you know anything about their holding? is it controlled by them or someone else? unlike fidelity, b r have no holding in OCL as far as i know. may be rns from fid today.
naughty PCCW. i'm not sure tiscali have access to any more capital. would anyone would want a co with no accounts?

January 7, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Speculation persists regarding a potential buyer of the web hosting and business services divisions of British broadband Internet, ADSL broadband and hosting provider, Pipex ( Although London-based financial services and investment specialists Oakley Capital have expressed interest, many analysts believe Scottish telecommunications company THUS is likely to purchase the divisions.

From that Times article:

"It is known to have held talks with Pipex, the British broadband group that was recently acquired by Tiscali.". That's interesting. Are Tiscali aiming to snap up PCCW and their fully mobile WiMAX license?

cheers troys...looks like we could get a better price now! with the data and hosting sides continueing to grow it would be a shame if they had been sold too cheaply..however if they are good buisnesses then it is only natural that someone else will want to buy them. fingers crossed now for a good outcome in the next few months

morning troys, you found more confirmation of the recent interest in pxc! just checked on thus thread, they haven't woken up to this yet, as far as i could see.
perhaps the publicity will flush out more bidders?

Sources claimed Thus had submitted a bid with a view to acquiring the company by March. Such a deal would fit in with Thus chief executive Bill Allan's acquisitive strategy.

Oakley Capital is also understood to have made an approach.
