Having a million doesn't stop you being curious about others' and exchanging views on investments.

Nor does it stop you wanting to keep up the income it generates. Especially if you have an innate pleasure in playing with numbers.

Million is nice I'm lucky one of the 650 who have over a million in an ISA.But I also trade that's why I pay 1200 pounds a year for ADVFN premium.You need 5 million pounds to be an equivalent millionaire like the old days.According to HMRC there are 22 investors with over 11 million in an Isa.Now that's nice.

"Not many millionaires find time to post here daily :}"

Why do you say that? A million is not much nowadays...
and ADVFN has loads of elderly posters living off
income from portfolios...

No need to rush in, next dividend six months time, I'm sure we will get cheaper, in my opinion.

May top up again on further weakness. Someone here predicted good cash flow in 3 years.

Held back by bond yields and no sign of interest rate cuts. US looks still bubbly on inflation fears , so pulling down financials. Holding for the recovery start hopefully in Q3. I believe there is no risk in divi payment and medium term play remains positive IMHO

Looks like we are in the wrong sector, mining seems be in vogue, with the bid for AA.

I guess so, Yump; but all may not be lost -

Next month brings the 10th anniversary of Conchita Wurst winning Eurovision;

perhaps we too shall 'Rise like a Phoenix' !

That said, boxerdog4, I do empathise with your view. I'm a long-term holder of this and LGEN/BATS etc. but I'm not too keen on sacrificing share price for divi. I rather hope that as int. rates fall and the gen. erection is over SP's across many inherently sound companies on the FTSE-350 will see a rising share price

Alternatively, I'm using LGEN and PHNX in particular as a substitute for an annuity and, after say 20 years, the share price is very low I will have had a greater divi income than the income from the same investment in an annuity.

I'm in one of those moods Spud. Getting close to bourbon time (7pm) and having had an entertaining day watching Angela van den Bogard struggling to come up wuth plausible yet non self-incriminating answers as to why she was clearly unable to do her job at the Post Office I'm feeling impish :-)
