I am sorry, but you cannot equate the Palestinian situation with the Ukraininan one. The Palestinians hold it within their own power to make peace with Israel and have done so even before the Arab Palestinian construct was brought into existence. This conflict seems to be totally about one mans vision of Russian dominance with no moral.basis, with indiscrimate targetted civilian bombing. The world needs to act to stop it now.

At under 2p this begins to look interesting. Because I didn't like the Strukov takeover I sold out in mid-2020, which turns out to have been lucky.

The danger is that Gove get his way and the UK starts confiscating Russian assets in the UK. Then the Russians will do the same to UK assets in Russia. They would have the perfect excuse. But if that doesn't happen this could rise x 10.

I bought a small pile of pog this morning, on the basis that the news can't get much worse, and the metal is still in the ground/being mined.

There is talk of Russia moving to a gold-backed rouble for domestic use.

I know pog don't own them anymore but it's interesting to look at the irc share price in Hong Kong. The company is based in Russia and mines iron ore, Peter Hambro is chairman.


The share price is hardly changed. I do feel that much of the pressure to sell here is West based political one. Not necessarily real.


In addition Kinross Gold who produce 20 percent of their gold from Russia and quoted on nyse is unmoved. Though they have suspended their Russian sites for now.
