For a number of reasons the drop from the 4.5p region is a great opportunity for a top up, this is exactly what I have done, there is very little stock on offer also.

Petroneft sells all it's oil to the Russian domestic market and is a EU based company, political situations blow over.

Buy when everyone else is fearful.

The assets will get stranded if Moscow do anything stupid. Companies operating there will be sanctioned doing business with the UK.

London is nearer to Kiev than Tomsk.
London to Kiev is 1325 miles.
Kiev to Tomsk is 2660 Miles.
Is it purely political for the fall in the share price?.

In fairness this seems to have been our life at PTR. In the past, every time there's been some operational progress the oil price has either dropped or there's been some geo politics with the Russians. The stars never seem to align

Brent Oil is the only thing effecting Russia thats marching at present, lets hope it stays that way.

You may be right Sean but the political risk meant that any new lender would have been several points dearer than six months ago. I believe if there weren't a hundred thousand Russian troops poised to invade Ukraine the share price would be nearer 6 than 3.Whilst not every improvement operation may prove electrifying , there are enough opportunities for some very good news.

Todays update was a non event in the story really.
The next real news will be on production from the various works announced.
If there is a significant increase in BOPD at a time of high oil prices the company may finally be viewed in a better light. Long term PTR need to perform over more than a few months to obtain a decent sale price.
