There's bound to be a spike down but I reckon it will bounce back pretty quickly and onwards and upwards once this nonsense is put to bed, just got to get the timing right.

i would say at these levels all the bad news for PFC re corruption claims is now in the price, and the only movement now should be upwards...imho.

what is the chaos in Aberdeen you referred to? I have just heard today its not all plain sailing down here after all and that Wood Group are going to put everyone inside IR35. That is going to be very interesting considering everyone else seems to be going the other way. Maybe time to short Wood Group lol

Not the first renewable contract as the following extract shoes.
“Petrofac has a strong track record in offshore wind, specialising to date in the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of HVDC and HVAC offshore and onshore substations for major international wind farms. Recent projects include the BorWin3 offshore grid connection project in the German North Sea, the Hollandse Kust Zuid (HKZ) Alpha and Beta platforms in the Dutch North Sea and a turnkey power system for the Galloper offshore wind farm off the coast of Suffolk.

I am sorted regards IR35 have the paper to prove it now! Here in the sunny SE new IR35 compliant contracts have started to be issued at major contractors. First they give out questionnaires which you fill in and submit and your position is worked out. Your manager is supposed to then confirm that answers are honest and reflect how you work but so far in practice they have issued the contracts regardless after the questionnaire has been checked by an outside bunch of accountants. The main changes are substitution clause, with the company withholding the right to reject the candidate offered, no notice period, cuts both ways as there is no handover, and invoices paid one month in arrears a few other tweaks but thats it!
So far I have heard of 2 junior doc controllers found to be inside, they did not have control over the way they worked, but all engineers are passing even with errors in thier answers, guy next to me put in that he had paid overtime which we dont we just have extra hours its not overtime as that indicates you are a staffy. Reality is without contractors the main contractor companies will not be able to do any work so they are having to find a way through.

the old IR35 rules were not too good for IT contractors either...killed projects everywhere...government shot itself in the foot then and now looks to take out the other foot...by the way still here invested and awaiting the good news from the SFO...

Court case against Unaoil coming up soon - 20th Jan 2020. https://www.sfo.gov.uk/cases/unaoil/See the court dates section.I surmise SFO have been waiting to see what emerges in court regarding PFC.Will any Unaoil defendents implicate PFC or PFC staff. Will they plea bargain?Or conversely, will the evidence be thin and the case cancelled by the judge (as some other recent SFO cases). Either way, the outcome of this case should be a price mover for PFC.In the mean time, another billion dollar contract would be most welcome.

The height is upto the Iranians and how they decide to retaliate, hit Americans in Iraq etc. or hit oil via Straits of Hormuz or drone strikes on Saudi, or hitting US proxies like Israel. All of them have different tariffs. I think hitting the Yanks directly will deliver the biggest price rise as Trump will have to hit them back even harder and that will escalate things to a new level of madness.
I am not adding to my PFC holding I am betting on oil via small producers that have good prospects and management just now instead. That way I get double the growth from oil and their own growth prospects.
