avsome........the 35 days for Red Deer is drilling and logging and allows around 7 days for delays.

Heron-1 again its 40 days for drilling and logging and has an inbuilt 7 days for delays.

I believe they RNS's the Heron-1 delay once the inbuilt 7 days was used up......eg once they knew they would exceed 40 days they then informed the market of the delay. So the time of the RNS the delay was already in effect for 7 days.

Red deer spudded 4 August 35 days to drill if no issues news from 6th September onwards.
Heron - 1 spudded 19 July 40 days to drill, they reached 551m casing run cemented 2500m to go they lost 12 days drilling cant see them been stood around for 12 days if you can see what am getting at so 10 days max lost drilling so 39 days takes us to 6th September.

2 lots of news in one week that would be good if we hit the black stuff we are going to make some coin, 7p to buy 1 p discount from spud of only one well in heron come end of August we will be around 10-12 pending on news if not higher still very good price to make 50% upside even if you don't wait for the results I will add a few more this morning

GOM the weather didn't stop drilling last year...And not many people are interested in your meteorological qualification, unless I'm going on holiday and request it, the company RNS'd the weather because it was coming to the end of the drilling season, which they completed anyway after winterising the rig.

My estimates now :

Red Deer-1 well will be into Secondary target during week commencing 19th August.

Red Deer-1 well will be into Primary target during week commencing 26th August.

Red Deer-1 well results and RNS week commencing 2nd Sept.

Heron-1 well into Primary target week commencing 9th Sept.

Heron-1 well results and RNS week commencing 16th Sept.

Such an ‘idiot’ that your company published an RNS last year with an update for you regarding local weather and information that some winterisation modifications had been implemented. An idiot with a valid meteorogical interpretation qualification.

Last year, from around May if I remember, the idiotic weather came into play as a time limiting factor for our (I punted £500 pin money if I recollect) wildcats: the pressure was fully on for months.

It looks like the impasse has been broken at Heron-1 for MATD and that Central and Provincial Governments are ‘resolving their issues and have given verbal approval for the company to resume operations on Heron-1 whilst necessary paperwork is completed’.

Operationally, preparations are being made to drill the 8 1/2 inch section as soon as possible. Standby costs so far are +/- $150,000 which is a pain but the company remain confident that both Heron and Gazelle should be completed before the end of the drilling season. The shares have rallied by 33% which is good but will only go better when some or all of these three wells come in.

GoM..... 2 wells ? The RNS states that Gazelle-1, Heron-1 will complete - add on Red Deer-1 and thats 3 wells in 2019 for sure.

The fourth well....all depends on success at Heron-1 or Red Deer-1 or both.......and appraisal well more than likely, hopefully Red Deer as the upside down there is big and loads of other leads that will all be derisked.

What’s all this twaddle about short positions? There are no known shorts on the record. Do you mean sell side derivatives? CFD’s, Spreads etc?

Interesting that Mike described weather and not climate as a potential factor. This means that drilling to TD on temperature, precipitation (unlikely) and wind speed is not guaranteed.

Just two wells in one season with a probability, hard to assess: 10-20% of not completing the drills certainly adds to the gaming factor. Good luck anyway, could certainly make a fortune with a little luck!!

I will put this here, as IF MATD do strike oil, some numpties will be along to tell you its worthless.

Actually, Mongolian oil is very valuable. The PSC terms are rather wonderful......the oil has very high value in real terms to the producing company.

Look at these PSC terms - keep this to repost later - compare these terms against some other countries terms, see how much the oil is worth in other places in real terms to the producing company, after tax and tax and tax is hit upon them.

This really needs shouting about!! Costs of Exploration, Development, Operations and Transport can be recovered in the success case. The implication for this is that on any success, when coming to arrange finance, this puts the company in a very strong position. This is something quite special

They have already said that both Heron-1 and Gazelle-1 will be complete before year end. Red Deer-1 will be finished in a couple of weeks.

Fourth well......depends on Heron-1 and Red Deer-1........appraisal ?

Easy 15p to 20p pre drill results. Almost guaranteed that at least one will be a success and probably both.

Sub 2p if both fail.


18p if Heron strikes on its own.

32p if Red Deer strikes on its own.


I like the risk/reward ratio - no other stock on AIM offers that upside in the coming 5 weeks.........
