Snippets from the Sept interims:

- Through our petroleum contacts, we are aware of bypassed [helium] discoveries, in the Former Soviet Union (FSU) and elsewhere, that show large volume, high confidence reserves ideally suited to fulfil EU needs.

- Title is an issue in the FSU, though many projects have proved solid and delivered good returns where the operator is well-partnered and pays attention to local community relations. These are Petrel's strengths.

With the above references to 'bypassed' and 'partnering', the below article could be similar to a future article about Petrel one day if they JV with a good partner in somewhere like Kazakhstan.

Getech to Support Kingfisher in Exploring for Hydrogen and Helium Accumulations
26th November 2024

Getech, a world-leading locator of subsurface resources, is pleased to announce from the Paris H-NAT 2024 natural hydrogen conference that it has won two contracts with Kingfisher Energy Corporation, (“Kingfisher”), the private international exploration company, to locate natural hydrogen and helium accumulations in Canada. Initially focused on North America, Kingfisher has narrowed its search over the last year to a previously overlooked exploration fairway in Canada with significant hydrogen and helium potential.

Investor interest in natural hydrogen and helium is growing across the globe. Reflecting this trend, Kingfisher anticipates expanding its exploration strategy for both resources and, to support this, Getech and Kingfisher have also signed a strategic collaboration agreement to facilitate extending the working relationship beyond Q1 2025.

Generally they don't know much at all (and dont care about the stocks they make for), but on the balance sheet of who wants what - maybe they have a buyer in the wings they are filling for. Could see online quotes for up to 900,000 (£11k+) at bid - when sometimes they don't even quote 50k, that's bullish at least

If they had already identified any specific opportunities back in early summer then they have had several months to progress things. I wonder if anything is nearing a conclusion?!

JUNE 20th PRELIMS:
The board is considering expansion opportunities for oil & gas in the MENA region, including reviewing oil & gas assets with prospectivity for other gas resources such as helium which the Board believes would offer some beneficial diversification given current market conditions outlined above.

SEPT 19th INTERIMS:
...our team has invested time and effort, over recent months, in researching qualifying projects that fit within the EU's criteria...the most advanced opportunities identified  comprise adequate sources of Helium...Through our petroleum contacts, we are aware of bypassed discoveries, in the Former Soviet Union and elsewhere, that show large volume, high confidence reserves...most of these discoveries have yet to be developed...The required gas exploration and production skills are closely related to those familiar to our team...Initial review work gives our experts confidence in the reserve and resource numbers. Potential offtake agreements... for the EU...China and India are economic at current prices. Based on initial discussions, we do not see offtake, financing, and permitting as insurmountable obstacles...The EU has funding and needs critical resource minerals. We believe that we have the contacts, skills and experience to deliver them...The board expects to add another one or more Non-Executive Director with the next major deal.

blakieboy7 - Until news comes one day, you have to assume everything is a P&D. The only way to trade pet is buy it when it's low, not when its rising - unless something solid is RNS'd

Pet sneaking up, feels like I'm one of very few left holding. I've been DCA'ing over the years and break-even for me is about 1.9p/PET. I'm guessing *if* somethings coming, it won't be at these levels for long

BigBudda - your gateway in UK would be biggest safest on ramp players like Coinbase, or Kraken. They are heavily regulated/monitored. (as with all you need to provide ID etc..), or card providers like Revolut. In Coinbase you can do things like direct debit (set and forget) buy £100 or whatever a month (btc or eth) - any crypto you can buy fraction of e.g. I could buy $0.05 if i wanted. Timing is near impossible - volatility high - though there is a circa 12-18 month bull run ahead of the current crypto market - trump being pro BTC and Elon too, its a near perfect storm. So the 'highs' I listed above I feel quite confident in personally, you must assume in a 4 year cycle (we're maybe 8 months in a bull already), the lows 'could' be back where we are now or slightly lower. but the cycle repeats - so always look at massive drops as necessary cleansing, BTC supply is coded cannot be diluted.

A smart way to buy Bitcoin, not that I've managed it yet, is to get US stocks approved in your SIPP (e.g. Hargreaves) and buy MicroStrategy. If you didn't know, Microstategy basically buys bitcoin, issues bonds, buys more bitcoin, repeat - it's been a work around for ETFs for the past few years. It's CEO Michael Saylor is laser focussed on one goal and listening to him and the fact he's been right for at least 6 years you see why people support financing. The company essentially does nothing, but buy bitcoin and sell periodically - it will become the most valuable company in the world with almost certainty. So the safest way you can buy bitcoin effectively is to buy MicroStrategy - you dont even touch crypto.

On BTC the most bullish I've read on this current cycle was 140k before a significant retrace. Too late for me so will wait until the next cycle after the drop

As we'll all probably be in this chat next year and I'm mainly crypto, some predictions by year end 2025 for anyone who dabbles:- BTC (Bitcoin) $100k today peaks around $220k (up 120%) - ETH (Ethereum) $4k today peaks around $14k (up 250%)- STNK (Stonks, on Solana) $210 peaks around $1.5k (up 500%)You are not bullish enough on crypto. Bitcoin will one day $1m/coin (provided the acceleration in quantum computing like Google Willow doesn't kybosh the encryption of the world's entire financial system, both traditional and crypto). Might be worth buying some actual gold coins to keep at home as a hedge against quantum computing.

I don't think Ghana will have anything to do with this rise. I suspect we may get some news about progress towards something Helium related. Who knows, if it were me, a change of name would also be necessary
