20/12/2016 08:28 | An interesting sentence in the RNS is this - " This agreement includes provisions giving BMO Capital Markets Limited authority to carry out market purchases under the Programme independently." The point here is that it appears to avoid the effect of close periods in the calendar when the company cannot initiate buy-backs because there is significant unpublished data. Close periods would constitute periods of risk when the company could be a sitting duck to further share price manipulation and attack. The independence of BMO means that they can continue to apply pre-agreed criteria for buybacks at any time throughout the year. | boadicea | |
