Posted at 04/6/2019 14:18 by hl83 I received a written response from Barclays as follows:I have had a look at this Scheme Of Arrangement and because Hunt Mining Corp will be listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange they will not be eligible to be held in your Smart Investor account. Our proposition only allows for stock traded on the London Stock Exchange. This type of foreign outcome takeover ( or reverse takeover ) is fairly common though and our Corporate Actions Team will put options in the terms of the Scheme to allow for the stock to be either transferred to another broker with exposure to Canadian markets, or for the stock to be sold by us on affected clients behalf. We usually do a bulk sale in these cases and credit clients accounts with the proceeds which we will convert from Canadian dollars. Implementation of the Scheme will be subject to approval of the Scheme Shareholders at a Court Meeting and a General Meeting. It is expected that the Scheme will become Effective during July 2019. When all of this has been ratified we will post details on the Corporate Actions section of our Website. |
Posted at 31/5/2019 07:50 by steeplejack So farewell Patty. Not a loss making investment that I will miss one jot.I see management has taken a passing shot at the inadequacies of the AIM market as it now savours the opportunity to dupe a fresh unsuspecting clutch of investors on TSX.Will they formulate a new set of unfulfilled forecasts that has been a perennial feature of their life on AIM.I suspect so.A quote attributed to Mark Twain seems apt as a parting salutation."A gold mine is a hole in the ground with a liar standing on top of it". |
Posted at 19/2/2019 15:06 by kirk 6 With all this talk about going private will PGD give us any warning? You would hope that going private would mean buying existing shares from investors!! |
Posted at 19/2/2019 08:39 by steeplejack Unmitigated disaster and has been for years.Mañana Mañana and finally it looks like the whole shebang will probably be taken private other than the company has only survived by milking AIM investors now and then. Its ironic that as the price of gold now climbs above 1300 dollars, this outfit pulls stumps.Of course, all those stock options awarded over the years will be worthless if they do delist.Dear oh dear. |
Posted at 11/7/2018 14:51 by hazl You might elicit some sympathy if you took some responsibility, for the loss yourself for buying when a sector was due a plunge. We have all done it I'm sure. Instead you are rude to management and other posters. The likelihood of putting new investors off is higher when they read such posts and the only way it is going to rise is when the sector is ready and when investors choose to invest in PGD as opposed to various gold miners. I dare say I'm in for another rude post now. 8-( |
Posted at 05/7/2018 15:54 by lochlea The reasons they gave in the prospectus were 1) improve the marketability of the Company's ordinary shares by creating a higher trading price to restrict large percentage movements resulting in volatility and 2) without doing the consolidation they might "not be able to raise funds as opportunities present themselves".Just a quick glance at the trades over the past month they SEEM to be a persistent steady flow of low volume, low value sell trades resulting in 50% plus reduction. If that's not volatility then I don't know what is!!!! You do wonder sometimes with this mob who they get professional back-up advice from. It's certainly not with investor PR in mind. |
Posted at 05/7/2018 14:53 by alan@bj Was that the consolidation which was supposed to make the shares more attractive to institutional investors? |
