Morning all.Interesting post from 1am.I've been around ADVFN for about 7 years and I've never set up a fake account yet and hopefully never will. It's seems self defeating to me.I've also no idea who the person who has reacted so vehemently is. (I.e. It's illegal)None of this concerns me, and I also don't believe for one minute that it's Mr Manduca himself. From my own part, I lost my money in PRG, but it's 5% of my portfolio, worth defending yes, but not with childish games.Certainly not with deploying any more funds for Loan Notes or Legal cases. 'Good money after bad'In any case I've lost much bigger than this in recent years on OXS, IOF, FOGL and GKP. I didn't cry about it.If the troll at 1am wants to goad me, it's a bad idea because I do indeed have REAMS of information about the LNH group, but I'd like to think I'd keep my promise to a very decent gentleman, to NEVER bring it here.

and Whiskey Jim summed it up very nicely:

"My reason for buying was cos I was scared to lose my original shares and Manduca persuaded us all that the only way to get our money back and much more in future, was to buy loan notes."

there it is a nutshell: she bought - and I'm sure many others bought - not because they thought the LNs were a good investment opportunity, or because they trusted Manduca, but simply out of fear of losing their original investment and because they had no choice *except* to lose it. Manduca played on that fear to extract more money from them, and probably will again.

I thought the money raised by loan note holders was used to pay of Paragon creditors, like Darwin and the landlord, to save the company from going into liquidation. So what was the point of wasting those precious funds if Manduca is now going to abandon Paragon and start a new company?

One last word for this evening: loans are usually secured on something, no? Or were these LN holders stupid/desperate enough to make an unsecured loan to a man like Manduca, who is a proven liar and has never kept his word about anything since becoming involved with PRG?

Gullible, gullible fools...

Fest, nothing would surprise me any more; and of course unless someone is prepared to do something about it then yes, he will get away with it...

If Mr Manduca and the LN Holders are permitted, in law, to get away with such a 'trick' I'll be astonished.I know corporate law is quite lax in places, but surely one can't simply let a company deliberately die, sacrifice all existing shareholders, but then magically create a 'new' company for the benefit of a few? ...... or can you?

"There is a private forum for PRG loan note buyers and if you say anything on there it's like they all think he's god."

well don't worry, they'll get what they deserve again and again and again until they realise Manduca is an out-and-out fraud. By which time they will be utterly cleaned out; like those hapless 419 scam dupes who send money to Nigeria, then more money, then yet more money, because they become ever-more emotionally and financially invested and can't let themselves believe they've been massively conned...

Much more chance of getting some money back through a law suit, you ask me...

BTW, is the new vehicle this brain cancer company, by any chance?

I am coming on here because I too am uncomfortable with recent developments.I was one of many shareholders who purchased additional loan notes to bail out PRG from a winding up order early last year.My reason for buying was cos I was scared to lose my original shares and Manduca persuaded us all that the only way to get our money back and much more in future, was to buy loan notes.I paid less than £1000 and it's money I didn't really have but I saw no other way. My husband and Dad have shares in PRG but not too many and didn't go for loan notes.I feel sick now because Manduca has told us that he wants to ditch PRG and start up a new company for loan notes only.I'm not daring to tell the others I feel stupid as it is. Plus I don't believe I'll ever see my money either as it's been empty promise after empty promise.

BOA: Expand please - Does not appear relevant as Coy is Limited and so far as I am aware liabilities of Guernsey registered companies do not flow through to shareholders though may be applicable to Directors or quasi-directors.

Fortunately for you, the company doesn't have anything or any major debt. Otherwise you may find yourself on the hook.

Last 2 paragraphs of notice not very happy

"Note: Where a company is dissolved as a result of striking off, all property and rights then vested in it or held on trust for it (but not property held by it on trust for another person) shall, unless Her Majesty's Receiver-General directs otherwise, become bona vacantia belonging to the Crown.
You are advised to carry out a company search to establish the status of any of the companies included on this list to confirm whether they remain on the register or were struck off at the end of the notice period - www.greg.gg"

That's a good point. Should we add embezzlement to the list of charges against Manduca? One thing's for sure - we won't get answers if we rely on the pathetic losers on here; or the gullible fools like Vince either, come to that. He got conned by Manduca not once but twice...

So........... where has all the investors' money gone to ?????

I remember a while back getting an e-mail from a fellow called
Vincent.

He said the monies were in a sort of treasury account, implying
that it was in some way being looked after.

We've not seen or heard about it so one assumes that
Manduca and cohorts took the loot ??

Or did the large amount of shareholder money just
go up in smoke?????

What a con it all was.

Best wishes to all who got turned over.

END
