21/7/2005 17:53 | jaknife if you check out Mr Perloffs history he has acquied many a business! Your comments are misleading. ! | fusebox
21/7/2005 16:45 | I would have a look at EKT Panther is the next biggest holder and EKT could be the next co he acquires. Elektron is undervalued has good cash and making fantastic profits ! | fusebox
21/7/2005 16:36 | Excellent stock. Should do well over the next six months once the bid for Hawtin is out of the way. Anyone with some news on this stock, please. Thanks | regina124
14/6/2005 22:12 | A shrewd guy Andrew Perloff he is also the biggest shareholder in Elektron to which i have a large stake..epic EKT. He holds over 13.5% of Elektron...EKT rebounded the last 2 years assets are climbing rapidy and the co no net debt...market cap only 8 million and co made its best ever profits just released 2 weeks ago. The co made about half its market cap the last 2 years in profits ! Pe ratio for EKT far too low at the moment and any Panther holders would be wise to take a position in EKT for obvious reasons.... If Panther bid for EKT the share price is sure to more than double...in any event the co is undervalued and should rise rapidly before the end of the year. | fusebox
14/6/2005 21:52 | haydock - yes, so am I. Think he's a top man..his "red-tape" rantings are also highly amusing if you care to read the Panther reports over the last few years! | topvest
14/6/2005 09:59 | I have held Hawtin the dog of dogs for 30+ years. An ever changing old textile share, recently completely stripped down to a property portfolio and unquantified tax lossess. Perloff was in like a flash when the change began last year. Large land holding in Wales which is grinding towards possible change of status. Perloff has been on the board for a year, and for him its any easy safe move, which of course should benefit Panther, and Hawtin shareholders. I am impressed with Perloff & will continue to follow. Regards Haydock | haydock
13/6/2005 22:46 | Yes it is in my opinion. Perloff will eliminate all of the overheads of Hawtin, the £0.7m of income will pay the funding costs and the development property will provide the long term upside. Eurocity was a good deal and I suspect this one will be as well. | topvest
13/6/2005 22:35 | is this good news??? Never really heard of Hawtin...or the last set of results seems to of turned themselves around... | chaneale
13/6/2005 07:36 | Todays announcement HAWTIN PLC ("HAWTIN" OR "THE COMPANY") The Board of Hawtin announces that it is in discussions with Panther Securities PLC ("Panther"), the Company's largest shareholder holding, with associates 29.7 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company, which may or may not lead to an offer for the Company by Panther. Shareholders are advised to take no action at this time. A further announcement will be made as soon as possible. | topvest
20/3/2005 17:32 | Is the Hawtin offer going to come in before the end of March...I wonder? | topvest
02/3/2005 21:36 | Another 10p special dividend coming - excellent. Well done Andrew Perloff - you are doing well! One get's the feeling that a takeover of Hawtin is next. We will have to see if I have guessed correctly. | topvest
15/12/2004 19:11 | Up we go again. What about this for an RNS!....Nice little profit, rather a nice special dividend. 15 December 2004 Panther Securities PLC ("Panther" or "the Company") Proposed disposal of freehold property in Coventry Panther Securities PLC announces that one of its wholly-owned subsidiaries has entered into a put and call options for the sale of its freehold complex at Copthall House, Coventry, exerciseable between 4th and 20th January, 2005 at a price of £9,250,000, payable in cash upon completion, which will be 20 days after the exercise of the option. These properties were independently valued for the Company's 2003 accounts at £ 5,250,000 and in that year produced a gross income of approximately £700,000 with a net income of £450,000. The current year's net income will be approximately £80,000 higher than in 2003. Should the transaction proceed to a satisfactory conclusion, the Directors intend to pay a special interim dividend of 10 pence per share for the year ending 31 December, 2005. This will be paid at the same time as the final dividend for the year ending 31 December, 2004. For further information: Andrew Perloff, Panther Securities plc: 020 7278 8011 | topvest

06/8/2004 14:11 | I have noticed that Panther is ticking-up nicely whereas Hawtin has dropped sharply back. Do we have the answer? Has Panther stitched-up a recommended offer at c.12p or something? I'd be very happy to take more Panther shares for my Hawtin stake purchased at 10.5p. Any thoughts? | simonevans
23/7/2004 18:10 | More positive news on the £8.5m disposal. Could be in line for another special dividend this year? | simonevans
16/6/2004 21:59 | Had a look at Hawtin - looks very interesting. May pick some of these up. | simonevans
16/6/2004 21:32 | Thanks. Missed that one. I'll check it out. Perloff is very astute imo - definitely a man to follow! | simonevans |
