31/12/2014 13:00 | Hello I joined the PMR party over the last few days. Like others, to me the valuation doesnt makes sense and it should only be a matter of time before it normalises. Excellent brand and growing client base which should drive increased profits going forwards. Cheers Adam | adamb1978
31/12/2014 12:04 | 16th December, don't know how i missed that one, thanks DiscoDave4. | spooky
31/12/2014 11:28 | Yes, a very interesting stake build. There is no doubt that PMR is 1. Undervalued 2. An excellent brand in the City that is under-utilised and 3. Poorly managed from a profitability perspective There is certainly scope for some form of corporate activity in 2015, maybe on the back of a return to profit. I can't understand what is in it for the Qunivest holder other than some form of trophy asset. | topvest
31/12/2014 11:02 | So is 2015 finally going to be the year that shareholders get something back from their investment? I have never understood the Qunivest stake, for them the numbers are completely insignificant PMR is so small. A takeout at 200p would be an attractive exit for me and I would imagine that any long suffering shareholders would take it as well. | salpara111
31/12/2014 10:47 | Yep there was, Dec 2nd, RNS 16th.Wishing everyone good health for 2015.DD | discodave4

29/12/2014 19:35 | Interesting article today in the Times - page 35. In the Business Commentary section by Gary Parkinson. Article entitled : Splendid isolation. Broking's broken. Everyone says so. So what does Mohmet Dalman, the chairman of Cardiff City football club and nobody's fool, want with 7.6 per cent of Panmure Gordon? Don't think about the trade as buying into one of the few independent players still standing in an industry in managed decline. Think of it as taking an interest - nearly 1.2 million sharesbought off long-term holder Lazard a fortnight ago through his WMG investment firm - in one of the best brands in the City, the blue-blooded broker where David Cameron's dad plied his trade, but one that arguably could be better utilised. Think of it as paying a touch more than £1.5 million for an interest in an advisory business, an investment bank with all the licenses, valued at less than £20 million. A potential merger partner with a name you have never heard of. Or one you have. A potential platform for a drive into Europe. Most of all, think of it as a seat at the table with the Qataris, who own north of 43 per cent of the business. Don't think of it as buying a 7.6 per cent stake in a stock broker. In isolation, that makes no sense at all. | cottoner
24/12/2014 21:32 | Hopefully a more prosperous 2015 for PMR! Here's hoping it can get back to 200p this year and finally reintroduce a divi. | salpara111
24/12/2014 18:43 | Merry Christmas to one and all and a very prosperous New Year.DD | discodave4
16/12/2014 14:39 | No one can bid, well not without the support of Quinvest as they have over 40%. The thing I find most interesting is the fact that the share price did not budge at all. Difficult to work out if this has made PMR more or less attractive to hold. | salpara111
16/12/2014 14:10 | Did they buy for tie up,for a client or for a bid ? | loobrush
16/12/2014 13:49 | Asset management co. out of Hong Kong bought the stake.....trade tie up ? | benson384
16/12/2014 12:09 | So, no one noticed that almost 8% of the company changed hands yesterday! No mention in the FT but The Times picked up on it but could not shed any light on the matter. | salpara111
12/12/2014 14:07 | They do seem to be getting the work which makes it all the more mystifying as to why the share price is where it is! Hopefully once the divi starts the share price will re-rate back towards 200p. | salpara111
12/12/2014 11:35 | They seem to be doing very well at the moment should reflect in share price in the new year. | loobrush

04/12/2014 16:51 | I really struggle to understand why the senior management of the business don't buy up meaningful numbers of shares, if they really are so undervalued. I would feel a lot more comfortable about doubling up my currently underwater stake if senior managers were to buy a few hundred thousand shares which they clearly have the financial resources to do. | salpara111
