01/9/2022 14:16 | Way above my pay grade!, nothing goes down in a straight line etc. | essentialinvestor
01/9/2022 14:14 | You could be right.Just a thought, would such a drop for ex div be a false trigger for some algos?....RSI now oversold. | disc0dave45
01/9/2022 13:08 | dave, doubt that will be maintained through the coming cycle but who knows. I've been too cautious here recently. | essentialinvestor
01/9/2022 12:48 | If the final div is as last year (10.3p) then yield is 10.5% (on a share price if 397p) | disc0dave45
01/9/2022 10:52 | ADFN has the dividend yield as just over 10%. Is that correct? | gswredland
08/8/2022 20:34 | I agree Essential. I've bought PAGE in other recessions and it bounces back well.Bought in this morning and will probably add | gswredland
08/8/2022 14:09 | I keep hearing talks of people taking on second jobs to make ends meet. I can't see this recession causing lots of redundancies. Retail maybe. But travel engineering and specialist recruitment etc is on the rise. Plus page is worldwide not just UK. | babbler
08/8/2022 14:05 | yes. That says they are still looking for staff. A lot of sectors are still woefully under staffed. | babbler
08/8/2022 13:14 | Since 1992/93 Page has always been a cracking recovery buy if you can get anywhere near the low point. In their favour atm is staff shortages putting generating business, so what price this will be available at less sure on. A lot depends on how big you think any macro hit will be, if particularly optimistic then perhaps there is a buy case now. | essentialinvestor
08/8/2022 13:00 | ThanksHad hoped for a slight uplift in their forecast for the year (to £210m). From memory thought they upped it slightly in Q1 (from £202) and was hoping for the same!. But now being quite cautious IMO. Will sit on hands. | disc0dave45
08/8/2022 12:35 | I have a small holding but would not add now fwiw. Quality company that I've known since the Michael Page days. | essentialinvestor
08/8/2022 11:23 | A recession will hit employment. That's the gamble here, so close to buying here but now in two minds - due to their comment posted earlier. Also, read this:HTTPS://www.thi | disc0dave45
08/8/2022 11:03 | wouldn't a recession due to bills and nothing else mean people will want to get back to work or get 2nd jobs? Ie good for page? | babbler
08/8/2022 09:26 | Guess a full blown recession won't be good news and this sentence may have fed those concerns:In July, we noted a slight slowing in time to hire in some of our markets, and we continue to closely monitor our forward-looking KPIs. | disc0dave45
08/8/2022 09:02 | Big drop for. Good results and special divi. Strange one... | babbler
13/7/2022 12:14 | PageGroup (PAGE) issued a Q2 trading update this morning. Performance set a new record, Group gross profit was £280.9m, +25.5% vs. Q2 2021. The Group deliverd a record month in June, its second month of gross profit in excess of £100m. There was an increase in fee earner headcount of 307 in Q2 to 6,734 (Q1 2022: 6,427). The balance sheet also remains strong with net cash of c. £135m up a little from Q1 2022 c. £122m. Management provided in-line guidance and currently expect 2022 full year operating profit to be in line with company compiled consensus of £205m. This would be a 21% increase on FY21 levels. Valuation is also very attractive, forward PE ratio below 10x, PS under 0.9x. The share price is currently in a correction with the wider market given recession fears and therefore lacks momentum. All else points to a solid BUY... ...from WealthOracleAM | km18
13/7/2022 10:59 | Looks decent and in-line for this FY, personally I think op profit will be nearer £210m but wtfdik. Still looks like very decent upside potential in share price as trading on forward PE of only 9.6. | disc0dave45
12/7/2022 17:16 | I know what you mean! Looking from the sidelines... | gswredland
12/7/2022 17:13 | Q2 tomorrow should be positive IMO but holding back before buying as current market reactions have been anything but reflective of such results. | disc0dave45
19/5/2022 10:25 | Dissapointing start .300 nurses to train for gdr new test .Potential multibagger . | ram376s
11/6/2021 19:17 | Dear all, given this threads authoritarian censoring of so many posts and banning of so many contributors, I have decided to set up a brand new Staffline thread. This allow freedom of posting for all ADFN members (with both negative and positive contributions) for those who have a genuine interest in the fortunes and journey of Stafflines exciting new future. Please feel free to join in the Unbiased, Unfiltered and Free for all (bar any persistent ADVFN rule breakers), at: | my retirement fund
20/1/2021 21:28 | Hi all, My mate Peter @Conkers3 and myself did a ‘Twin Petes Investing’ Podcast recently and part of our discussion includes PAGE and the wider Recruitment sector. This is an unusual episode because for the first time we had a Special Guest on the show and the response has been hugely favourable (here’s a clue: he’s not the usual ‘Guru’ that all Podcasts have). And as always we chatted about loads of other Stocks and Ideas for research and a fair bit of educational stuff with regards to Investing and Portfolio Management. Anyway, if you use Youtube, Apple, Audioboom, Overcast or Spotify you can find it under the 'Conkers Corner' Channel (you want Podcast TPI 40) and you can find it on Soundcloud at the link below. I hope you enjoy it and find it useful, we try to keep them light and they are totally unscripted, not like all the stuffy financial fodder you are probably more used to !! Happy New Lockdown !! 03/4/2020 14:39 | Remember reading your post that you took the intelligent action to self isolate, yes both can explode of bottoms ,i posted page low of 250 was not 250 in 2008 was 2016,it went down to 160ish in 2008. | contrarian joe
03/4/2020 13:33 | Joe, worth keeping an eye on RWA, that Trebled within a 12 month timeframe coming out of the financial crisis. | essentialinvestor |
