Jefferies raised Page Group from underperform to hold, and increased target price from 375 to 420.

Page significantly outperforming RWA based on their recent respective results.

Page share price significantly outperforming RWA over the last month, Mr Walters retirement announcement may be a large factor in that.

Is the cycle about to roll over?.

PageGroup issued a Q3 trading update reporting continued strong performance. Group gross profit was up 14% to £270.5m, September was the third month with gross profit in excess of £100m. Performance was solid in all regions except Asia Pacific where there was a slight dip in performance. There was an increase in fee earner headcount of 337 to 7,071. The balance sheet remains strong with net cash at £ £186m at 30 September 2022. Full year operating profit is expected to be in line with company compiled consensus of £204m which would be up about 21% on FY21. Valuation is also attractive with forward PE ratio at 8.9x, PS ratio at 0.66x. Share price has been attempting to put in a floor since the summer, but still lacks positive momentum for now. The macro environment remains the main cloud for job creation. Other than that, PAGE is a solid, very profitable and increasingly attractively valued recruitment consultancy with decent growth potential. Dividend yield of 5.6% is also pretty generous. It may still be a little early to be buying given macro headwinds, but certainly worth monitoring for now and will be well worth owning at some point in the next year or so....

Page should benefit from yesterdays announcement on the repeal of IR35 with regards to off payroll contracts.

ADFN has the dividend yield as just over 10%. Is that correct?

I agree Essential.
I've bought PAGE in other recessions and it bounces back well.Bought in this morning and will probably add

I keep hearing talks of people taking on second jobs to make ends meet. I can't see this recession causing lots of redundancies. Retail maybe. But travel engineering and specialist recruitment etc is on the rise. Plus page is worldwide not just UK.

Since 1992/93 Page has always been a cracking recovery buy if you can
get anywhere near the low point.

In their favour atm is staff shortages putting generating business,
so what price this will be available at less sure on.

A lot depends on how big you think any macro hit will be,
if particularly optimistic then perhaps there is a buy case now.

PageGroup (PAGE) issued a Q2 trading update this morning. Performance set a new record, Group gross profit was £280.9m, +25.5% vs. Q2 2021. The Group deliverd a record month in June, its second month of gross profit in excess of £100m. There was an increase in fee earner headcount of 307 in Q2 to 6,734 (Q1 2022: 6,427). The balance sheet also remains strong with net cash of c. £135m up a little from Q1 2022 c. £122m. Management provided in-line guidance and currently expect 2022 full year operating profit to be in line with company compiled consensus of £205m. This would be a 21% increase on FY21 levels. Valuation is also very attractive, forward PE ratio below 10x, PS under 0.9x. The share price is currently in a correction with the wider market given recession fears and therefore lacks momentum. All else points to a solid BUY...
