Oxford Nutrascience, the specialty pharmaceutical company using pharmaceutic and drug delivery science to develop advanced medicines, announces the appointment of David Norwood as Non-Executive Chairman of the Company with immediate effect. Marcelo Bravo continues as Chief Technology Officer for the Company.

Mr. Norwood (aged 42), former chief executive of the stockbrokers Beeson Gregory and a former director of Evolution, is the founder of the London Stock Exchange listed company, IP Group plc, which specialises in the development of intellectual property based businesses.

Mr. Norwood is one of the early shareholders in Oxford Nutrascience and his appointment at the Company heralds Mr. Norwood's long-standing commitment to building science based UK businesses and his belief that the Company is now at a point of inflection and poised for significant growth. David is currently Chairman of Retroscreen Virology Limited, Europe's leading specialist virology contract research organisation.

Oxford Nutrascience is developing a strong portfolio of pharmaceutic and drug delivery technologies and is using these to develop novel applications of generic or soon to be off patent active pharmaceutical ingredients. Specifically, the company specialises in formulating products that are easier or more pleasant to take for geriatric or pediatric markets as well as modified release formulations for various clinical benefits. The Company's strategy is now primarily focused on the pharmaceutical sector where a significant number of drugs are now generic and where it is becoming increasingly difficult and expensive to bring new drugs to market.

"We view the future with confidence and are currently in discussion stages with a number of potential commercial partners. The Board expects to be able to announce the signing of one or more of such commercial agreements in the current year and looks forward to updating shareholders as these arise".

Two trades dissapeared from ONG this am prior to 09:00. A 350k approx sell and a 250k buy. Then the 1 mill buy and two mill buys appeared and the bid dropped to 3.25. There has been some share changes here over the last month between II's and company holders. Something going on here prior to results. Expected near term.

For those like myself who are keeping core holdings and top slicing profits in this mini Bio-Boom, have a look at SUMM ( i havn't bought any yet ) fully funded until Sept, and share price lower than cash balance.

Like i said Mike. I am hedged. Stake covered and LTH FOC. This company has good financials, licenses in the bag and products in the market.

Until last week SAR had nothing but your faith. That faith, in this instance came good.

As i recall half the Long term SAR posters stalked you with an alledged P&D label.

Is this not the pot calling the Kettle black. Lol.

Wilba, thanks but no thanks. I would rather invest in something with some substance to it, than a pure ramp on the boards. Currently invested at placing prices in a few places, where I anticipate decent near term returns and little hassle whilst holding.

So no sorry I am not going to buy ONG to give someone else the chance they are hoping for to get their stake money back out.

Hi abbey, I have hedged this but holding some in the LTH draw. Good looking prospects. I will watch next week and MAY add depending on next weeks share price & Volume. Bit of research to do.

Mainly at cash, waitng for general market indication. Bit of a top up in SKR and watching SAR.
