Can't understand the trades either, none of the omh holders are able to trade as yet, dare say Marvin or snorky or some one will enliten us!

Thaks Malc. have already seen most of the info in the OMH docs. The risk factors
are likely to scare off the timid. Can't understand the high volume of condiional
dealings...

I'm already behind the couch! Lets just hope that OMH or should I say Genmark has used up all its allocation of bad luck and we can only now have a run of good luck from now on ??? Always look on the bright side lol

Yep, rather miffed myself but as a long term OMH masochist I suppose I should always expect the worst and not be surprised by things like this.
Now we can guess what the numerous delays where to the implementation of the Scheme of Arrangement was about, notably the drop in price from $8 - $10 down to an eventual $6, which dropped again on the first few trades.
After Osmetechs first attempt failed completely at the very start of the credit crunch it was odds on they would time their next attempt perfectly with the next global financial crisis.
I suppose the only thing you could say is at least we are up and running now as it would have been disastrous, probably terminal if it had been pulled again.
On the latest update to the Scheme of arrangement we have "Conditional dealings commences in Genmark Fundraising Shares" for May 28th and
"Commencement of trading in the NASDAQ Global Markets in Genmark including in relation to Genmark Fundraising Shares." for June 3rd 2:30pm.
Anyone know what is the essential difference between the terminologies used here for the two trading dates stated and the implications with regard to actual trading come June 3rd ?

The one thing I did notice yesterday after the initial pricing shock was the sheer volume of trade in approx 1.5 hours before the close with over half a million shares traded at $5 plus a share.
That equates very roughly to £1.7 million pounds worth of trade in an hour and a half. Even in early January when we saw massive, unprecedented volume of approx 45 million in one full day at around 2p a share that was still just short of a million pounds worth of trade.

This was and still remains a long term play for me and this is just another blip, albeit it in a long line of annoying blips, but had decided some time ago that I would not sell until the AD-8 is on the market.

Fingers crossed that June 3rd is better than May 28th otherwise I will have to go back to hiding behind the couch again.

OMH have disappeared from my brokerage portfolio, so I guess they have been transferred to the Nasdaq.

Is it today that the GenMark shares are appearing on the Nasdaq? I'm still a bit confused but it seems that I will get 1 GNMK share for every 230 OMH shares.

GNMK are a new offering on the Nasdaq with 4.5 million shares being issued at what is estimated will be $8-$10 per share. This values your OMH shares at between 2.4 and 2.9 pence. Not a bad premium on what they were trading for over the past few weeks.

This thread could run on for years.

Marvin, please get some psychiatric help. This thread will close and you will be all alone with your nightmare thoughts about OMH,and there will be no one to aim at - and perish the thought, but the share price might be glorious....
Anyone here got any ideas about how to help Marvin?

Nice one whilest. Unfortunately cannot add anymore due to insufficient funds but would love to do so.
Was thinking how unlucky can we get as history seems to be repeating itself as the markets hit a crisis point worldwide for the second time in 18 months. This combined with the uncertainty over the U.K. government just as we about to float in the U.S. and you start to believe OMH is cursed.
Presumably the U.S. float price is determined by many factors one of which will be the U.K.share price over a pre determined period in the run up to the de-listing. If we had not seen the current market instability I'm certain the price would have been more than it is now and consequently the float price would have been higher.
All this is a temporary annoyance but if the float is successful I'm sure our reasoning, bravery and tenacity will eventually be rewarded.
Hopefully I will make enough in the next few years on the Nasdaq to replace the hair I have pulled out over the last 12 invested in OMH in the U.K.

gerry2 I hope you don't class me as advocating OMH as a 'buy'? I pointed out that if you had sold at a said date - wait 31 days [in CGT rules] and buy again, you can place a loss claim with IR and have the same OMH shares going forward at the going rate.

The 'loss' once placed with IR can be used without time-limit.

As I said in post. The best of both worlds?

The end of the OMH road for me today?

Having read the Proposed Scheme over the weekend I choose to hit
the sell button today?

In my short post the other week – the day before the announcement,
I said that OMH did not want the UK investors and would be looking
for ways to rid themselves of us. This I think is confirmed where they
say that they will not be issuing share certs. on conversion to GenMark.

Nominee a/cs' only.

As a cert. holder in all my investments that was the final piece of straw
in this bag of manure they call Osmetech.

Good luck to all who choose to sail on. Its been good fun reading the
posts over many years.

Regards to all.
