Rossannan, QS99,

the Buritica deposit not far from Anza seems to be a worthwhile comparison if it were to get that big. Continental Gold owned Buritica and they were bought by China's Zijin mining for $US 1 billion earlier this year. The deposit contains approx. 11 mil oz Au.

tried dummy sell, offering over the bid shown by ADVFN for instance....looks like dropping bid didn't bring in much and demand still driving it higher....natch DYOR!

The majors will never allow OMI to realize it's full potential, so will tell them to "move along" if resources are proven, for say $200millionWorks for me, and many I suspect... Exciting times

Thanks all

Am now holding a decent position in OMI alongside my other speculative miners (EEE, GUN, PAT) and more established ones (HUM, SHG, GPM as an IT covering miners)

cheers

I agree with you!!. In addition Newmont own 18% of OMI. Agnico dont own any YET!! Would anticipate them buying. Conservatively you are right the two would only be interested in a 5M minimum resource so for them both to be in there should be a degree of confidence for prospective buyers. On a macro viewpoint if USA apply the gold exchange standard or if COVID really kicks in there will be a huuge demand for physical gold so $2k per oz could be smashed.Holding personally for now. NOT SELLING ANY!

Thanks rossannan

OMI from what I can see would have a 25% stake remaining as you say, let's assume your numbers are correct (aside from POG ups and downs), then $2bn equates to c.£1.5bn which represents a mahoosive upside to todays c.£23m market cap, BUT as you say, NPV as production would be years and years ago and risk etc etc......

GGP isn't a bad comparable, nearly hit a £1bn valuation recently as it neared 30p as its drilling campaign continued.

SO "maybe" the c.£60-100m market cap i.e. where tidy is punting it, isn't a bad starter for ten given the potential here. November drilling should provide either a stimulus or a rude awakening!

DYOR
