And Newmont paid over 100m usd for 20% of our neighbours Buriticá resource both on the same middle cauca belt. Our neighbours eitherside of Anza are multi million oz gold plays.

People who sell at stupid prices have only themselves to blame so no. No one is covering people's stupid choices.

Newmonts 20% of OMI and 20% in Continental will be worth the same in value once Newmont prove our Anza up for us.This will be the thinking of Newmont funding Continentals neighbours OMI on the Middle Cauca belt through to production. Our gold grades at Anza must be a close fit to continentals Buriticá at this stage imo. Maybe Newmont suspect Buriticá and Anza join up.

OMI was on the brink of collapse 3 weeks ago, so recovery will take a while and not be instant.

They currently have no revenue (other that the Newmont cash) and need to find new cash to invest in Uruguay so production can start again. Personally think that would involve bringing in a new partner and govtn help. So may take a while.

However, the important thing is that OMI's future is bright IMO. Drill results for Anza, partner news and restart in Uruguay. No clock ticking / bank foreclosure worries in the short term. Just need to work on the medium term. Remember this is the only gold miner in Uruguay, they have a massive history and drilling / geology databank, in addition to a $100M of infrastructure. So would be an attractive investment for a partner, IMO.

Personally still don't really understand what happened at San Gregorio Deep. They mined the West bit, was mining the Central bit, then hit a snag and all stopped. They still have plenty of drilling / resources in SG central and East, but it just stopped. So there may be a surprise there

Hence Newmont actually dealt and never walked. Plus we have Continental gold as a major holder and Newmont has 20% of both continental and OMI paying over 100m for their Continental stake. Anza wil lilely mirror Continental's Buriticá

Same middle cauca belt and similar very high gold grades to continental's Buritica (After-tax net present value at a 5% discount ("NPV"): $778 – $805 million). Major holders Newmont in both continental and OMI and Continental also major in OMI. OH MY OH MY. OMI Current cap a mere £11m with 146m shares in issue.

Remember Ggp has nice rock chip samples from surface. OMI has core drill results at depth and the grades are even better and Newmont did not walk on OMI as they did with GGP. Risk reward is in OMI holders favour OMI drilling gold grade results at Anza fully funded by Newmont. 219 g/t176 g/t72.3 g/t70.99 g/t58.03 g/t45.62 g/t40.37 g/t40.25 g/t29.49 g/t20.89 g/t

Tem.

The stake you mentioned is a big proportion of omi cap! It’s not small as you disingenuously imply! The fact you are on this board bleating about GGP shows just how envious you are about omi prospects.Go back to Ggp board if you want to obsess about Ggp .This is not the place for your bitter rantings! Newmont walked out mate and made what they consider to be a better investment so deal with it and move on.We are sick of your Ggp posting ! your posting about OMI is ,however, i am sure welcome by this board.

how can GGP be a dog? when gervaise said ernest giles was the biggest gold deposit he'd seen in 40 years..i think the reason newmont walked is because they couldnt afford to buy it,,,hence the poxy £2m into OMI...cheapskates!

GGP is a DOG ! GH lied to lead most investors up the garden path last year with all his tweets about visiting different city's where NEWMONT / Newcrest / Rio offices are and posting newspaper articles about NEWMONT on his feed trying to suggest a deal might be happening ? Think this was maybe one of the reasons NEWMONT walked as GH was to unprofessional and couldn't be trusted to keep his mouth shut ! He came across as a attention seeker ! Anyway GGP have billions of shares in issue we have millions ! Big difference for share price movement and we have seen how fast this can move :) Look at that RNS SOLG had Friday only moved about 10% in my view because they have so many shares in issue now it doesn't really get motoring . OMI seems the best place for the return here
