08/6/2019 15:35 | Kind of frustrating. Time was these type of minnow used rocket up or down on rumours.many funds played with these type of stocks, not so anymore sadly.actual positive newsflow like "we are now in production" would double the share price. Next news will be " this company is now profitable and we continue to hope someone starts to build a position in the stock. I remember about 5 years ago Warren Buffet put 110m USD into a new Greenfield site in the Yukon and wondered why he just didn't buy out Ormonde!!! Funny old world and heard nothing about tungsten in the Yukon since. | roykeane2
07/6/2019 14:18 | you'll be fine then mic, once the current seller (I think there has been one for a long time now) has cleared, the world moves on a year or so, who knows what the picture might be, but I'm sure you'll be able to sell 1m shares no problem :-) certainly hope so :-) else I wouldn't be holding here myself :-) LOL cheers Wan I am a novice at this though :-) | wanobi
07/6/2019 11:50 | @wan, a million shares!! I wish I had a million pounds to invest, but maybe not all of it in Ormonde 😂 | micnoc2015
07/6/2019 11:02 | Micnoc 2015 Like yourself I have been in ORM for a long time and have a substantial shareholding. One lesson I've now learned is to be very wary of investing long term in the early stages of any mining venture. With hindsight, ORM was really only an idea when I first invested; and who could have foreseen the tortuous process in bringing it to production? I invested initially because I was impressed by Kerr Anderson and his vision for ORM, and all along I have had a good opinion of ORM's Board. With that learning experience would I have invested when I did? No. Would I invest today? Yes. To date there has been no institutional interest in ORM and, until there is, there will be no sustained increase in the share price When the Institutional Investor sees value things will change and value will be determined by production, demand for, and price of tungsten. Do you attend the AGMs? I would like to meet. Thanks to Steelwatch and 12Vic for their informative posts. Biz | bizana
07/6/2019 10:28 | Quite so Vic: | steelwatch
07/6/2019 10:20 | Anything below 140,000 yn ton appears to be loss making for Chinese APT producers. So this is the critical point where you can expect the Chinese to start organising themselves to address issues of pricing through supply chain moves. Media will describe these events as an industry decision but the industry organisations are effectively run by government so reflect gov policy. This is the reason why all 17 of the main district producers felt obliged to sign up to this move. Never underestimate the power of the Chinese gov to effect this type of measure as we have seen with environmental checks previously. The figures I have seen propose non production on at least 15 days in June | 12vic
07/6/2019 10:18 | mic, wow, is that £1m worth of ORM at say 7p average, that's 14.29m shares / 471m = 3% of the company.... or 1m shares in ORM.... No need to answer if you'd rather not. Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
07/6/2019 10:06 | Understand Chinese APT producers will take matters into their own hands to increase / stabalise sales prices. Jiangxi district produces around 50-60 percent of Chinese tungsten and near term they plan to halt production . At current prices they are around break even due to ongoing environmental and feedstock costs so have taken this decision as an industry group to protect profits. Likelihood is this will continue through June and production will be reduced significantly. Factor in other pressures such as central trade war and potential export restrictions and there should be a tightening of supply. | 12vic
07/6/2019 08:25 | I think the share price is currently shadowing the tungsten price. However the price of this rare metal is forecast to rise this year just as our mine is coming on stream so everything to hold for. | dolores123
07/6/2019 00:45 | In the wise words of Joe Dirt “we gotta keep on keeping on”. Keep on believing that Orm have the potential to turn a profit on their 30% of this mine. Is a 50 million market cap for Ormonde just a pipe dream, or is it possible? I’ve been in this share for about 5 years now, the commissioning milestone came and went without driving any great growth in the share price. Major disappointment. My biggest worry is that I may never be able to sell the 1mil stake I’ve built up. As the volume/market for these shares just isn’t there. If Ormonde do turn a profit, modest or otherwise, how likely are they to pay a dividend? I’d like to know how other PI feel about this? I have a lot of respect for those who post on this thread, you’re commitment seems unwavering. I rarely post but I often read the thread. I hope Orm pays off for us someday. | micnoc2015
03/6/2019 11:10 | Cyberbub I don't think there's anything going to happen soon until we get updated with ore quality if it increases I believe the tonnage will increase going through the plant and a contract from who ever is going to buy the Tungsten hopefully by Christmas we might see 10p a share | jamie crawford
03/6/2019 11:07 | Tungsten APT European US$260-270/mtu vs US$270-280/mtu | steelwatch
03/6/2019 10:26 | Sigh. Looks like I shouldn't take up a new career in fortune telling... | cyberbub
31/5/2019 13:09 | I have a feeling that a break back towards 5p could be imminent. DYOR etc | cyberbub |
