Remember that gold has gone up over 80 points since Oriole hit 0.23p to sell about a month ago. The news coming should push Oriole to over 0.30p.

The fact that Iamgold wanted out of Africa has been in the public domain for sometime so today's announcement should not come as a surprise.

If Managem have paid hundreds of millions for the Boto and associated assets, you can be sure they’ll be aggressive in developing the opportunities.
I see no risk if the status quo remains and Managem take over the Iamgold spend commitment, only upside.

But are there other opportunities?

I can see only positives for ORR

Quite simple isn't it , the rights and obligations to carry out the 4m spend by feb 24 will have to pass on to M unless under the current discussions (remember the target date for closing the deal is Q3 2023)1. M don't want it if so IAM will have to relinquish the entire licence back to Orr on a 100% basis 2. IAM pay 4m cash to Orr out of the disposal consideration as forfeiture and hand back the licence3. IAM continue to advance the prospect and spend 4m and pass the 70% interest to M by Q3 2023All or any one of the above are the subject of discussions hence todays rns

It could be good but equally, does this mean IAM stall on any further work in 2023 ?

Does anyone have details of the agreement from 2018?
What terms are in there?

But the buyers could be looking to buy the Senala project therefore allowing us to go full tilt on Cameroon.Personally I think it is good news as IAG stitched us up last year.

Exactly. It's a deliberately misleading announcement imo. Not only does it not mention what %of the assets being sold Orr have an interest in(likely very small) but the only relevant thing is will the new owner of the assets abide by the agreement. Makes zero difference to Orr except actually introduces more risks for Orr.

Iamgold are selling. Nothing to do with oriole and don't think oriole will benefit fall from this sale.

It’s an opportunity. Not sure what the value potential is, but whatever they decide to do it looks like there’s value to be had.
Makes a mockery of the current market cap, presumably the big buyer yesterday saw exactly that!

Erh no it's the sale of some of Iamgold's extensive assets in W Africa which includes an interest in one of Oriole's too.
